I just got the Zodiac Spear in that mining thing. From what I hear, it doesn't happen a lot.
Of course, if I had the guide, then I wouldn't have been so desperate to grab that potion.

I'm a big fan of classic graphic adventures and I'm glad you brought this up.Arcade wrote:But to be fair, the first “Leisure suit Larryâ€￾ also had a time limit; I guess it was like a temporal madness around guys who did graphical adventures, or games that had something like graphical adventures…
I always suspected there was a time limit on the first Leisure Suit Larry but I could never get it to kick in. Do you know when it was supposed to kick in? I swear I've left my computer on with Larry on the screen for about 6 hours at least to see if the time limit was actually in the game, but I've never gotten anything to happen. You can finish the game in like an hour with all points if you know what to do.
I have seen the ending where Larry blows his brains out when you run out of time since it turns dawn, but I've never actually achieved it without going into debug mode in the game to the room with the sequence.

Actually, you could get the code with the king of Nibana Kingdom in the golden castle. All you had to do was save Alex's brother and get his letter in the blue castle. So there, Alex Kidd is the perfect game.Arcade wrote:“Alex Kidd in Miracle Worldâ€￾, despite being one of the best games for the Master System, needed a code for you to end the game. Probably it was the same guy that thought a time limit in “Alex Kidd in High Tech Worldâ€￾ would be fun…

Maybe the version you have just got fixed that, or the time code only works in the real DOS, who knows...Syntheticgerbil wrote:I'm a big fan of classic graphic adventures and I'm glad you brought this up.Arcade wrote:But to be fair, the first “Leisure suit Larryâ€￾ also had a time limit; I guess it was like a temporal madness around guys who did graphical adventures, or games that had something like graphical adventures…

But in “Alex Kidd in Miracle Worldâ€￾, you could save his brother and don’t get the code, I played the game in the wrong way for years...
