It means Nintendo will get unique games, yes but it also means they aren't going to get a terribly large amount of these unique games because developers aren't going to strain their brains enough to take advantage of a one-off feature when they can keep doing what they've always been doing.
You can't blame this one on the developers. Dual screens is just a plain dumb idea. The potential for genuine innovation is extremely limited, it's far more likely that good games will be made awkward by the developers struggling to find a use for that extraneous component.

But it's so much more exciting when it's official. I think Pep understands.
It has, at least, a no-handed mode where computer players battle it out for your amusement.
I guess the DS is basically just a more powerful gameboy with two wacky novelty peripherals built in. Now, I know we all love those, and I'm sure a couple of games will make really brilliant use of them, but I just can't imagine that there will be many more exciting uses for the stylus or second screen than there were for the Samba maracas, Steel Battalion console or the Virtual ON dual joysticks. They strike me as having a very limited number of possible uses.
