DC Comics briefly replacing one of their heroes as a gimmick? DC Comics killing off a female character? Goodness me!
I thought that since “Dark knight returnsâ€￾ the best DC writers worked on Batman. Or maybe this is just part of that freaking “Infinite crisisâ€￾ stuff.
Well see, the current Robin, Tim Drake, had his dad find out about his Robining. Naturally, he was like "Stay away from my kid, you sicko" to Batman.
So Batman got Tim's girlfriend, who had been training as an amature crimefighter called Spoiler for a while to become the new Robin. She was incredibly incompetent and Batman was all like "You totally fucking suck".
And to make everybody think she was useful, she decided to go on a near-suicidal mission to get all of Gotham's crime famlies to wipe eachother out. Unfortuantely for her, this lead to her untimely death. Batman was like "serves you right, stupid bitch".
In the meantime, Tim's dad had been convienently killed, allowing him to become Robin again. He's not very happy about it, though, because Batman's been acting like a huger dick than usual and was like "Oh, by the way - your girlfriend got her sorry ass killed. She asked me to bring you to her deathbed but I was like 'fuck that'. I'm not sorry for not telling you or fulfilling her dying wish. Get back to work, nutsack."
Batman's acting like a bigger dick than usual because his fellow members in the Justice League lobotomized him after he tried to keep them from using magic to force villains to be good by mind-fucking them.
He's even more upset because lately it seems that a previous Robin, the one before Tim, has come back from the dead to fuck around with Batman. Not only that, but his dead father may be back too, and also trying to kill him.
So comics Batman has been royally and literally mindfucked lately and is treating everybody like shit.
Anyways, soon Bruce is going to go insane and be replaced by Dick, the first Robin, in some big crossover. In the same Crossover, some other big-name hero is supposed to be killed off and replaced by their sidekick, too. Everyone's money is on Wonder Woman, as of late. But most people hope for Aquaman, instead. Because Aqualad is actually significantly more interesting, powerful, and attractive than him.
