Beyond Good and Evil bug

Post by Light Speed »

I already asked this at the old board, but I didn't get around to starting BGE until yesterday. So once again, where was that bug so I don't get fucked? I was talking to G.Silver last night and he seemed to think it was at the begginning of the game while I thought it was at the end.

I thought it was in the middle.

It's kind of at the end of the middle, or the beginning of the end. It's in the Slaughter House, which is the dungeon you enter from the race. So don't worry about it until then.

The Slaughter House consists of 3 large areas that are spaced so that you encounter them in a specific order, though you can play them in any order you want. The glitch is in the last of the 3 areas. Just make sure you keep several save files when you get there.

Well I just beat the game, it was quite short. Anyway, I think you can run into the bug at any time during the game because I ran into it about 10 minutes before the end of the game. Luckily I was right at a save point. What happened was I got detected and then ran back to my ship to get them to leave me alone. They left me alone, but my partner never came back, so I went into the room and killed the three guards and my partner was still gone. So I just reloaded and did that part again.

Anyway, I dunno who here has beaten the game, but what was with the ending? Before the credits rolled I had a ton of questions, so I waited until the end thinking some of them may be answered. All that happened was a sequel to the game was pretty much guarenteed. The only problem with this is the game sold so horribly bad that I doubt they'll make one.

I think I've got a fairly solid grasp of the ending, but I wouldn't want to post here and spoil it on the off chance that Gibbon ever actually gets to play it to the end. ;)

Your restraint is appreciated.

Care to explain it to me through some other medium?

*dances*

You can PM or email me if you'd like, Lightspeed. Just let me know which parts were unclear to you in the message.
