Well, if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you're not gonna make it with anyone anyhow.

Also, Grant: White Album version or Single version?

EDIT:

Expo is in Anaheim. California. The other side of the country. I mean. Did you even READ the thread? SK said he's near LA, and that Expo is near him, and LA is in California, so therefore not near Boston.
Why would one living in New Hampshire pay so much money to go to an Anime Convention, anyway?

I always liked the single version better. The White Album version is good, though.

Conventions? You go to more than one a year? I don't think I could ever do that. At AX, I buy all the shit I want, ogle whatever Japanese pop stars are there, and then I leave and try to forget everything else I saw. Fucking crazy-ass fanboy otaku and "genki" yaoi fangirls are not good for your health.

I swear, I almost got raped through the pants by an otaku for calling FLCL "Fooly Cooly".

There's supposed to be an Anime Convention in Houston, but I'm kind of scared to go. The otakus, you know. Oh, and heads up, I'm going to be grounded, which means I wont be on the board for like, 3 weeks. Unless I sneak on or something.

Well, at the Anime convention that's down here there hasn't seemed to to be any fan-boy otakus (maybe one or two, at most) and a few, but not a whole lot of yaoi fangirls the whole three years that i've gone to it. Probably because it's a little smaller than the BIG cons, which is a good thing, because you actually kinda get to know the guests and hang out with them. One of them that was there this past year (Scott McNeil) actually remembered a freind of mine from two years ago because of this priceless "Speed Racer in one minute" act he did for the guests. Other than that, I've only see one or two guys in three years that have cosplayed as female characters. I still don't understand that..

"FuriKuri" or some nonsense engrish, I imagine. He couldn't possibly have been inane enough to spell it out every time he said it
...could he?

If I could grow sideburns, I'd cosplay as Lupin. I mean, like, every single day.

I'm currently trying to locate a green blazer/navy suit pants combination. When my facial hair co-operates, the transmogrification will be complete!!!111

Meh, I always though the red blazer looked cooler, but that's just me.

Anyone been to Sakura-Con before? I'm thinking about going tomorrow. Is it normally a good convention?
