NiGHTS strategy guide scans?

Post by Segadult »

Was there even a such thing as a NiGHTS strategy guide? If so, I'm on the search for some scans of overhead maps of the stages. I worked in a videogame store at the time, and don't remember there being a strategy guide, however...

Does anyone have any information? preferably visual :). It'd be very helpful with a project I'm working on.

There definitely was a strategy guide for it, I remember flipping through it a couple of times at EB years ago. I second the request if anyone's got it.

I've got an American one at home that I can scan next time I'm there. It's kind of odd to have a strategy guide for NiGHTS, since the objectives are pretty clear, but it's cool to see the artwork and such.

Excellent! Yeah, the game's so straight forward that I questioned the existence of a strategy guide. Then I thought about the A-Life/Nightopians, trick angles, etc... It's got a lot of subtle secrets.

My Saturn's been broken for over a year, since I tried to install a mod chip :(. It was so very painful to lose it. I haven't even had the heart to replace it. I felt like I killed my baby. Others seem like cheap replacements.

Anyway, I have to get a new Saturn so I can do a proper study of the topography of the stages and such. Those overhead maps will be invaluable. And I think others will be interested in seeing 'em. Thank you very much.

I have a Japanese guide but there's nothing in it of significance besides big big images of the characters and attractive layouts. The maps are all derived from the little mini-maps in NiGHTS' own score viewer, so there's not much point to them.

Of the big big images, are there any hand drawn pictures? There aren't enough of those around, and I love them so :).

Nope nope, just the same ones you find on the internet or in the Xmas NiGHTS galleries.

I've got a copy of the American one as well. If I recall correctly, they mixed up the boss strategies for two of the stages. I can't remember what now, though.

And I was just home this weekend. Bah. If nobody's posted anything by next weekend, I'll try to get some scans up then or something.

Wonderful :) Thanks. Out of curiosity, who printed it? Bradey?
