Please No Moore
Michael Moore. You love him or you hate him (and both notions are asinine). Either way you can't help but notice that Spartan baseball hat he is always wearing. That's unfortunate, for me.
I attend Michigan State University, and today, approximately twenty-eight minutes ago, Mr. Moore started his speech/talk/drama/pack of lies/rant.
Now in my mind Michael Moore borders on lunacy. He appeals to the left, and then as soon as he leaves the country he talks about how stupid Americans are. I'm not so much bothered by his wacko ideas so much as his brown-nosing tendencies. (Beginning his online rants with "Friends," doesn't help much either.)
In any case, I'm leaving my philosophy class (read: pointless requirement, though mildly interesting) and I see this line of students across Grand River. Some of them have posters.
So Moore is popular, no big deal. Most college students are left-wing and that is just a reality. Then come the asshats. The minority group titled "Students for Bush" began their march across the line of peeps waiting to see Moore carrying Bush-Cheney stickers and yelling unintelligible phrases. To this, one of the peeps said "Bush is a murder!" and about half the line cheered.
I quickly escaped as both groups of assholes tried to yell louder (because the loudest voice is most certainly the right one.) in an attempt to convert one another to the other side of the political spectrum.
There you have it. A pointless oratorio about the dumbasses at my school.

I guess he's right about that much, at least.as soon as he leaves the country he talks about how stupid Americans are.

He seems like a nice guy, but I don't really trust him to tell the whole truth in his movies. Not to say he's full of shit, I haven't seen any of his films so I wouldn't know, but he knows pretty well that most people would see Fahrenheit 9/11 and not bother to do any fact-checking of their own. He probably could have said that Hitler was alive and well and living in Camp David and people would have believed it.

So in your mind he's like a fat, male left-wing version of Ann Coulter? Now in my mind Michael Moore borders on lunacy. Yeah, but who did you hear it was exagerated from.
Really, if he has anything that is incorrect in his movies, he would be sued. The truth is, he has documentation and proof for his ideas, even his more conspiracy related ones.
I don't really think he's that great a guy, but one can't see he doesn't have his stuff together.
He came to my school last year. The audience mostly got picked up by the momentum in his speech. A lot of what he was saying bothered a large amount of people, though.

Yeah, that's basically it. It's not even so much that he skews or misrepresents the facts. The facts he says are true. He just leaves some facts out. And often, even the ones he keeps in don't actually prove his argument. It's kind of like this:
FACT: Apples and Tomatoes are both fruits.
FACT: Apples and Tomatoes are both red.
FACT: Apples and Tomatoes can both fit in a breadbox.
Therefore, apples secretly are tomatoes. AND THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW.

The man amuses me greatly. But, seriously, if you want to make a movie designed to make Bush look bad, then you really don't have to make anything up. I'm not saying he didn't rearrange the facts for optimate effect, I'm just saying he wouldn't need to.
I can't for the life of me understand why the prez hasn't been arrested yet. He's the most unpatriotic American (in actions, not in words. Those are lovely words.) I've ever seen in my life, and apparently that's enough to warrant jail time. Never mind all the actual crimes against humanity.

I think all the anti-patriotism has gotten to Moore. He's really let himself go.
He's looking a bit heavy, and he hasn't even bothered combing his hair. He just puts a baseball cap on and goes out to face the world, panting and whatnot from all of the stress that's put on by being such an incredible asshat.
