Re: Rebirth of Rocket Possum
I think I'd rather pick up the older games than this. Maybe if they come out with a demo tomorrow on PSN I'll have a better idea of if I should want this or not.

I really enjoy how Sony waits until random points late in the day to update PSN. I am really having a lot of fun here in my free time.

I hate that too. There was one Thursday where I checked it 6 times or more and it didn't update until about 10 at night...

Case in point: Europe just got the last two Sonic Unleashed DLC packs, only almost a whole damn year after the US got them.

Re: Rebirth of Rocket Possum
I beat the game last night, but I had a constant issue. When I would attack pigs and whatnot near the end, it seems like Sparkster would just bang into them instead of bounce off, most notably against the mech enemies.
Is there some technique I am missing? In the Genesis game I am sure he just bounced off the hard enemies, like those robot pig kings.

There is something funny with the pigs in walkers, it seems like you stick in them for a moment when you hit them right and then get pushed out, rather than just bouncing off like in RKA. I think it's supposed to be like that.

Re: Rebirth of Rocket Possum
I beat it a few more times and after a while it does get more fun. But it really hurts the game that it is so generic compared to the first one. The bosses in this I thought were all terrible in comparison.
And just curious: did anyone beat it on Gold Sparkster (harder mode way) and Alex modes? I am wondering if the endings are different.

But when it does come, you can enjoy it on both PC and Mac! And you can save your games using cloud networking!j-man wrote:So the Steam demo isn't even out here in "Europe". What the fuck?

Re: Rebirth of Rocket Possum
Just use an American proxy to connect to Steam and download the demo. Apparently this is known to work for activating games, so maybe it'll work for demos too. (Alpha Protocol is out in Australia and not the USA, so people used proxies to spoof being from Australia to activate their preloads a week early.)

Re: Rebirth of Rocket Possum
Not worth a new thread probably, but look, it's the old Japanese commercial for the original game! Horrible quality, but there it is! They ran some screens from it in GameFan magazine back in the day (I scanned and uploaded them somewhere...) and I've been wanting to see it ever since, though I obviously haven't been searching diligently, the upload date is from last June.
