The next step, of course, is translating the entire forum and the museum pages to Ebonics (unless it was done before, in which case I hate myself for missing it).

So... what were we talking about again? Oh, yes.
If the Capcom translating team commited any crimes with the adaptation of the Ace Attorney series, it was that awful "if something smells..." pun. That, and not giving a german accent to Francisca Von Karma- and I don't care if it wasn't included in the original version.

Well, if you want to be anal, in the original Japanese, she was American.

Because people in America TOTALLY dress like that.

...the whip makes a lot less sense, now. Altough a cowgirl outfit would have helped.
But then again, it just wouldn't be the same thing.

Maybe this is the lawyer we all need to get Gambare Goemon games in English, I don’t get why, being the DS so damn popular, I am forced to play a game in Japanese with a guide to get what the heck is going on!.

Man, that other prosecutor is still the second worst character design I've ever seen. Also why the hell is it still Ace Attorney if he's not an attorney?

Still looking forward to it, of course!

Prosecutors are still prosecution attorneys.

Without actually reading any of the text, this looks like the love story between Edgeworth and Gumshoe. Which, uh.

This is true, but I think it was more of a comment on how (according to the article) you never go, you know, into a courtroom.

This is why I thought "Perfect Prosecutor" would have made a slightly better (and more sensical) translation.

No, "Pro Prosecutor" is better. It's parallel with the series title and doesn't emphasize perfection, which, since this game takes place after GS/AA2, wouldn't be Edgeworth's goal.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Defense doesn't really have the same ring to it, either.

That sounds like a sports title. At any rate, when you have a famous name you can use, you don't cough up a new one. People are familiar with the Ace Attorney name, so they probably wanted to make sure everyone knew this game was part of the same series (even if it is plainly obvious). Another such example would be Yoshi's Island, also known as Super Mario World 2, of course.

Anyone else have this yet? I just got through the first case, which was slightly more difficult than usual (and I was expecting Oldbag to be the female callback character, not Maggey, but whatever). I think it's pretty good so far, but the interface, particularly moving with the stylus, is a bit awkward at times.

Sequel announced. No, not GS5 / Apollo Justice 2, a new Investigations.

Dammit.

I thought Investigations was shoddy.
