Online Game Rental Services
I'm talking about Gamefly, GameLender, GotaPlay, and the lot. I just found out about this while browsing through my spam today (egads! useful information in spam!), and I'm thinking about starting to use one of them -- probably GameLender since it actually has some of the older systems (Dreamcast an...

I feel the same way as everybody else here. NSMB isn't a bad game; it's just that it's not a *good* game either. Everybody's already talked about how the game is badly executed, so I'll try to guess why it's like that. With more and more people working in the game industry, the average level of pass...

FMA is hands down my favorite recent anime. The characters were really well done; the plot was random, but believable; and there was a semi-consistant theme throughout the anime. The ending was the best part. Ed and Al finally achieved their goal. It tied in so well to the theme of the anime, was sl...

It's the third party games on the Wii that excite me the most. Red Steel and Trauma Center (I never played the DS one) both look and sound especially interesting. But what solidifies my opinion is that there are tons of unique, interesting things I can think of doing with the Wii, and it's two space...

Sony and MS want you to buy a Nintendo Wii

Everybody seems to think it's certain that consumers will buy a Wii as their second system. Doesn't that mean the Wii would have the most marketshare and then "win" the "console wars", for all that's worth?

but the main form for the "casuals" to get an easier hand on PS3 is the new "six axis of movement" control technology put into PS3. There are six axis of movement (described as "six degrees of movement" at the Sony pre-E3 conference). <b>It understands roll, pitch and yaw, and "3-dimension accelera...

I'm looking at the levels and I see another Sonic Heroes. The only screenshot that looks interesting is <a href="http://www.1up.com/do/slideshow?pager.o ... 3564">this one</a> and even that doesn't look all that fluid. All the other screenshots look extremely linear.
Bleh.

Sadly, I do not have any Ghost in the Shell super powers, not even the power to speak philosophy while nekkid; I just work at Glu. We made the 2D platformer version of Ice Age, with a crappy first five levels, not the 3D platformer one, which was crappy throughout. I really like being a programmer h...

My last game was Solitaire. Not even close to the most exciting game ever. Earlier games were much more fun to work on -- I coded Diner Dash, Alpha Wing 2, and also was able to squeeze in some level design for Ice Age (hint: my levels are the ones that are in 75% of the screenshots you see). I can't...

Finally, the Game Development Hell is Over
Oh god, my last game was the usual fun times. I was thrown onto a game one third of the way through its development, and then the other programmer got FIRED. But because that wasn't enough, the existing code had to be written to maximize differences from all the other code at Glu. Nothing was named ...
