Re: Get a life. (Or, if you can, a continue.)
I don't know if I want every game to be Ninja Gaiden, but I do miss the challenge in some games. Like, New Super Mario Brothers. After playing and beating SMB1, SMB3, and Super Mario World cooperatively with a friend about six months before buying NSMB, NSMB sure felt like a cake walk. It had some r...

The artist who did that Chemical Plant picture went by the screen name Jessica Padkin. There is a forum member who goes by that name , so yeah, that picture most likely appeared here at some point. Holic was right about some people lacking reading comprehension. If it makes you feel any better, giv...

I think Sega knows that Sonic is on the ropes, personally. At least, Sega of America knows he is - I think Simon Jeffery, President of Sega of america, has even come right out and said he understands that the recent Sonic games have been mistakes. However, Simon has also said that he is powerless to...

Apparently, from what I've heard more recently, this is from Capcom USA. You see, most of the people who worked on Street Fighter in Capcom Japan have quit and moved on to other companies by now, or so I've heard, so Capcom USA was handed Street Fighter and Final Fight and stuff. That's how we got F...

Maybe he has something for numerology. I wonder if--no, how many RRoD's did he get during his sugar-rush like streak. And I'm somewhat envious of how some of you are e-famous as well. I'd hardly call " one asshole failing to be funny and it spiraling out of control simply over the article's very ex...

This is pretty old, actually. It was mentioned when the PC version of Riders was first released and the release dates most websites listed for the PC version of Sonic 2k6 have long since come and gone with nary a peep from Sega. Most people who ordered the PC version of Sonic 2k6 had their orders ca...

Since we're posting impressions here instead of the discussion forum... I tried three levels of this via an emulator. I don't want to play the whole game, especially considering SRA only emulates at half speed for me, but: I like it a lot. Based on the three levels I played, I think it's actually be...

Plus, the Retro Sonic engine is moddable. I'm certain that there will be a way to play Retro Sonic "as it was originally intended". I mean, the previous Retro Sonic demo didn't exactly have an abundance of original content. I think it had two original levels (Egg Garden and something else - Construc...

I hate keyboard controls. My awkward hands make gameplay... awkward. I'd be more interested with some kind of gamepad support, but I know next to nothing about this, so I don't know how difficult that is. Sonic XG already has gamepad support. Hit CTRL + Y to bring up the controls, and simply switch...

How about that. It would appear that shortly after Sonic XG released its demo, Taxman, the creator of Retro Sonic, extended an offer to Euan and Nitemare: Port Sonic XG to the Retro Sonic engine. Not only did Euan and Nitemare apparently take him up on that offer, but the two projects have merged to...

I suppose what I meant was, was it made with Damizean's "Sonic Worlds" engine in particular, or did they build their own engine for XG? That's hard to say. I think Sonic XG is using a really, really, really early build of "Sonic Worlds" (before it even had the name attached to it) that Euan and Nit...

Sorry to double post, but despite Retro Sonic and Sonic XG not having demos at this SAGE, they both released demos a couple days after the show ended:

Rollcage was awesome, by the way. One of the many times I'd play a futuristic racing game and ask myself, "Why don't Sonic games play like this? Why do loops and corkscrews always have to be scripted when games like these do them so flawlessly without the need for scripts?"
