The doctor is prescribing some homebrew

Ignore the music and it's actually pretty... well, good! Or at least interesting!

As I understand it, it's been in the works for over half a decade under numerous incarnations and near-cancellations. Incidentally, to someone here who has a SFGHQ/Sonic 2 Beta account, could you please go ask Euan to post about this here? I want nothing to do with the former, and in the latter, i'm caught up in someone else's IP ban. (edit: thanks Shadow Hog)

Man, i've been anticipating XG for months, and those trailers were like an alarm going off in your ear smack in the middle of a good dream. Besides the music - and please tell me i'm not alone in thinking that "retro" boss track is as crap a choice as the heavy metal - there's plenty of little things that grate my nerves about watching it in motion (the overused, lame explosion effects and Final Fall's level design most of all), but the details are for when I have the time to go into them and can do so where he'll see it. I hope this was just a shock to my system and i'm making a flap over nothing, but well, hacks and homebrews have a bad track record by me.

On the music, he plans on adding an option to switch from the "modern" soundtrack to a decidedly more classic alternative, as shown here. But yeah, it's amazing what this guy can do with recycled graphics.
