The character design irks me, but other than that this looks pretty badass.

All I mostly know is that this game is a collaboration by Tri-Cresendo and the Namco team who made Venus & Braves. Anyone here was play the latter even though it was a JP-release only? It looked cool based on the clips I've seen of it.

I like how it looks like a nostalgic haunted memory. But it's also true the character designs turn me off.

After looking at the screenshots, I can't help but think maybe it should be on some more powerful hardware to make the backgrounds look more realistic, but oh well.

I'm not sure if the teams--well Tri-Cresendo at least could pull something that much better on the HD systems.

Every single Wii game I play I think maybe should be on some more powerful hardware. Iwata is a madman but the kids like it, so.

I didn't know it was from Tri-Crescendo, though. I've never really liked any of their stuff even though it all looked like it should've been awesome.

While I disliked Eternal Sonata, I bought Baiten Kaitos: Orgins awhile back for $20 because I heard great things about it. Haven't played it yet, but I'm willing to give them a second chance, and if I end up disliking it--oh well, it was only a $20-loss.

I played the demo of Eternal Sonata and it seemed okay except for the froofy excessive aesthetic sense. Are there any big problems with it other than the obvious fact that you have to be a 13 year old girl to stomach it for more than 2 minutes?

Beyond the horrible bastardization of a classic composer's final moments? Not really (that is to say, I've certainly played worse).

Anyhow, I must say that I'm in love with the feeling of loneliness evoked by the screenshots; a run-down bathroom, an empty shop stand, the boy sitting alone at a fire... very evocative.

The dress is a bit over the top.
