I was always annoyed that as a kid, I never had enough of the fancy parts to build anything like that (I had like, two). That thing is all fancy parts! Is there even one standard Lego brick in it?

There're not all that fancy. A lot of those parts are pretty common in the Bionicle Technic models.

It is really, really awesome, Wooduck.

I am compiling instructions for my own use should I ever disassemble him, so if you want I can post a link to them when I am done with them. I will also include a complete list of parts.

Can't tell very well from the small pics, but the first and third pics look like they'd make awesome desktop poses.

Also, posting instructions would net you at least TWO internets from me.

Maybe so, but it's still cool.

Okay, so here's my little abomination of plastic and art. It's obviously not NEARLY as complex as Wooduck's piece, but I'm proud of it anyway. I call it the "Iron Wyvern".

Image

Image
Iron Wyvern's "default" form, with wings folded and open.

Image
Iron Wyvern's "battle" form, with a slightly more "humanoid" shape.

Image
My attempt at a "hornet" form.

Image

Image
Iron Wyvern's "tank" form--the feet are supposed to resemble tank treads.

Image

Image
This one I actually made by accident--I was trying to fold up the wings and found that lining it up with the tail made it look a lot like a crossbow--so I added in the tank-tread legs and made a "ballista" form.

Image

Image
This one was actually ripped off of the original "tank" form, which originally had the pincers facing forward instead of backward--so i modified the feet and made it a "scorpion" form.

It looks egg wyvern-ish, exchange the pieces with red and there you go.
