Body language, too. Eggman scratching his ass is one of the greatest moments in the series's history.Wooduck51 wrote:I was struck by how the characters actually have expressions as opposed to heroes, Shadow, and even StH06

It's funny that you think of SA2 in such glowing terms. I always thought of it as an average game with limited appeal due to the convoluted story telling and angst ridden characters. Its level design and game play also fell flat on its face when you compare them to SA1. This isn't a reformulated opinion either. I was really under whelmed with it when I bought at age 13. I'm glad they picked Live and Learn seeing as it's more iconic, but to me SA1 will always be Sonic's 3d peak.

Bastards. I go away for one single weekend, thinking everything is great with the world after Sonic was introduced, and they do this to me.Zeta wrote:Little Mac is an Assist Trophy. : (
Well. I'm still too thrilled with Sonic to be sad about this lost of a great character. Now I'm just hoping he's not pixelart.

Oh no I dont think SA2 is the peak as the superior game but the peak as the last good game. I also think SA1 was more in terms of classic resonance and feel. To me both are good games, with SA2 being the last of the good Sonic games made. But yeah SA1 had it right, too bad STH tried to copy the SA1 style but failed horribly. Its all about the original creators and those who understand the feel of the game. I guess all the good programmers and designers are in the PSU section arent they?Radrappy wrote:It's funny that you think of SA2 in such glowing terms. It was the exact opposite for me; SA had the right heart, but much like I thought that Wind Waker was far superior to ocarina of time, SA2 was a step above SA. I never had any problem following the storyline of SA2, and found that the more linear style reflected the original games even more than SA. I found the controls much tighter, appreciated the elimination of fishing and amy's bloody annoying levels, and still found all the varying perks of SA still intact.Radrappy wrote:It's funny that you think of SA2 in such glowing terms. And new pork is from Mother 3, though I have never played it.

Yes, New Pork City is from Mother 3. Pokey has become a time traveling, immortal, evil overlord and it his city of evil, piggy, debauchery from whence he wishes to destroy the universe just because he hates everyone that much, doing it via his army of pig-mask wearing fat soldiers and genetically engineered chimeera monsters. He's like Eric Cartman + the Master from Doctor Who. Only worse.

If you mean "onscreen space", then it depends on the level of zoom applied to them. If you mean "disk space", it's almost the same than a higher poly model if you don't use high quality textures (which are the ones that take up the most space). If you mean "main system RAM space", then yes, a high-poly model does consume more space.Yami CJMErl wrote:Low-poly models take up less space, right?

That there will be a level in the game based on Green Hill Zone is a given, so now im holding my thumbs for a level based on another classic Sonic level, one that comes with a remake of that levels original music. Chemical Plant perhapes, or maybe Casino Night? Or, better yet, Ice Cap (just think about what a full orchestra could do with that sweet, sweet melody!).
And speaking of Pac-man as a playable character (as someone brought up a few pages back) i think that, if he appears, what they ought to do with him is ditch his current "arms-legs-and-eyes"-look, and instead let him keep his iconic original "ball-with-a-mouth"-look (it would probably be a bit tricky coming up with moves and attacks for him, but im sure they could think of something). That would certainly be a grand nostalgia treat.[/i]

So wait, you're saying that you plugged everything in and it didn't work? Hooking up the Wii isn't any different from hooking up any other console, except you'll have to set the sensor bar on your TV, too.Arcade wrote:So, this happens the week I got a Nintendo Wii, and then decided to put it back in box because is not plug and play like the Gamecube...
Didn't you have a SuperScope?? What's wrong with kids these days...
