Castle Siege was announced today. I'm actually surprised that the section inside the stage isn't its own stage. I thought it was Kid Icarus related originally. I'm glad they aren't revealing everything about the game before it comes out... or at least leaving the underground open at the moment.

Every time I see Fire Emblem art it makes me want to check out one of those games sometime, even though I'm not a big fan of Advance Wars-type strategy games.

Well, today's update is interesting and a new video as well! Sounds like they're trying to expand the Adventure Mode a little more this time around.

Zelda runs like Sonic.

And this update is quite interesting; since it has already been confirmed that the characters are indeed statues, we now are able to get a storyline involving all these different characters withought affecting any of their storylines. Smash brothers brawl is literally a small sealed bubble of official non-canon, allowing for things such as this.

Which is just PERFECT. A decent Single Player will be great in a game like this. I can hardly wait to see what the hell will Solid Snake be doing around there with Kirby and Pikachu.

Please somebody explain me why games' storyline canonicity is such an important matter. Particularly Nintendo's games.

And Snake alongside Kirby and Pikachu is seriously wacky. Like, MVC2 wacky. I like that... oh, and did someone fall for the "Snake sucks" troll?

I was mainly referring to Zelda's and Metroid's storylines, seeing as most other characters appearing come from games that have no continuous storyline whatsoever.

They better make Snake's story psuedo-serious, starting like a normal Metal Gear Solid game and having Snake taking part in Pokemon battles and riding Yoshi along the way.

Well, this update sort of explains that whole "This World..." thing from a couple weeks ago, at least.

I just think it's hilarious that, according to this story, the main baddie behind all of this is META-KNIGHT.

Time paradox? I mean, that's OBVIOUSLY Meta's ship dropping those wierd baddie grunts on the battlefield AND shooting at Fox's Arwing AND retreating from Link and Yoshi...

Probably MetaKnight is just brainwashed by something shaped like a hand.

My guess was that the game assigned a different character for each mission (that way they can put video in). But then it doesn't make sense for some characters to take part in levels that aren't really theirs...

MetaKnight probably has his own story where he tries and take over the statue-case (or whatever you want to call the Smash Bros. world).

I'll bet Meta-Kight's ship was stolen by whoever leads those little robot things and he's trying to get it back. Either that or it's like the Kirby games where appears to be evil but was really trying to save everyone, as revealed in the game's finale.

Maybe it'll be like the Street Fighter Movie, where half the characters are good and half are bad. So Mario, Peach, Link, Zelda, Kirby, Pit, etc, are good, and, say, Wario, Bowser, Metaknight, etc, are Shadaloo.

... You mean, Nintendo actually used the "evil Yoshi" idea to make another palette-swap character?

Shit, I need to read the newspaper more often.

It wasn't Nintendo really, it was Square that did it.
