So, I take it the Ice Climbers aren't in this game. If that's the case, I'm not really bothered by it.

Replace them with... BALLOON FIGHT GUY!

. .. Endless Glacier wasn't the only scrolling stage in Melee. So I don't see why this scrolling stage means that there can be no others, or the Ice Climbers are out.

It was the only one that scrolled upwards, and this one's essentially a clone of it. I think it's unlikely that they'll use the same gimmick for two levels without adding something to set them apart.

I know that's not proof that Ice Climbers are out, but I can hope.

Not only back, but improved - since his Egg Toss move will actually DO something useful this time around. That thing was one of the most useless moves in the game for years.

Not really - it was very useful for edgeguarding. I don't know Melee very well, but I would think it would be even more important for Yoshi there as I don't think he has the side-aerial spike in Melee.

If I were the designers, I'd extend the reach of his tongue attacks to really make him useful. It really should stretch longer and be more effective. The only thing he's useful for are his aerial kicks. On the ground, he has no heavy hitting attacks. And he also lacks any precise long-distance attacks. Making him such a specialist character, he's really not worth playing with.

According to (EDIT: a source I'm not sure I'm allowed to say), there's a bunch of Nintendo plushies coming out this fall with the Wii logo on the tags. Sonic, Amy, and at least one other Sonic character are part of the line....

I personally advocate Captain N as the final boss. Like Master Hand was just a hologram he controlled with the Power Glove or something.

Heheheheh, this is made of awesome.

I actually downloaded the soundtrack from that trailer from the MySpace page of the creators and had it in my mp3 for a while. It's great to see that in a better quality than youtube.

Looks like we got anohter Assist Trophy today, this time a Kirby-themed one in the form of Knuckle Joe.

Today's update - the Pitfall item, from Animal Crossing. Though when I first just saw the title I thought they were actually including something from Pitfall.

Ugh. I wish they would just announce which playable character will be coming from Animal Crossing. I'm not sure if I'd prefer it to be a character, some random villager, or a customizable human character.

Of course, they'd attack using each one of the tools - slicing with the axe, firing a stream of water with the watering can, trapping people in the bug net, and . . . swinging around with the fishing pole? Hey, they can't all be gold.

Maybe using the fishing pole will render Ganondorf players immobile!

Not to mention the shovel, probably with a smash attack for the golden shovel.

I still cannot figure that out, other than Ganondorf is so dumbstruck by the fact that Link would cast a fishing rod while in a duel to the death.

They can't do that, that's gonna be the Harvest Moon guy's moveset.

Play Fire Emblem: Path of Radience PLZ.

I hope Marth is still in. They seem to have differentiated Ike from him, with the two handed weapon thing.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain either Marth or Roy will return. I'm just not sure which. Marth is the first, thus gets more respect. On the other hand, Roy looks more different than Ike.

If Ike's as cheap as Roy - and that's how Sakurai's hyping it, to me - he'll do.

I figure Ike would replace one (or maybe both) of the previous FE characters, since he's been in a US game and Marth & Roy haven't (Roy's little kid cameo at the end of the first USA GBA game doesn't count).

...unless Nintendo decides, to everyone's surprise, to localize/release the original NES games via Virtual Console.
