New revelation: the giant gas attack from the E3 trailer (confirmed to be called the Wario Waft back then) is NOT a final smash but a vastly scaled-back vB. Which begs the question of what is going to be the ultimate move of the man with the mystifying martial arts.
That makes one wonder if any other character will have an attack that changes or powers up depending on when it's used. Also, the bike looks utterly badass, and it also brings up the idea of others characters with weapons that you can "borrow".
The giant gas attack from the trailer shown at E3. Duh. Just because he has a weaker version as a normal attack doesn't mean he can't have the nuclear fart as a Final Smash.
Allow me to repeat: the move at E3 was confirmed to be called "Wario Waft" & vB just now is confirmed as "Wario Waft". I would imagine that 2 different moves would have at least slightly different names. Ergo, the move from the trailer can't be the final smash.
Yes indeed, and since both that and the bike appeared in the trailer, as well as Pit's arrows, that means that Metaknight's special move is probably hiding behind his cape, and ZS Samus's special move is probably changing her handgun into a l4z0r whip.
Update: There's a new item called an Assist Trophy, which brings out a NPC to help you fight. Confirmed so far is a Nintendogs dog, a Hammer Bro, and Samurai Goro from F-Zero.
I'm guessing that Assist Trophies will only bring out characters you already have ownership of in trophy form. I'm worried whether they'll be able to make battle animations for that many characters. (Or, as the situation will probably be, good and unique battle animations.)
1. Oh, so they are bringing back the trophy idea.
2. HOLY FUCK!!!!!
3. Wait, ain't this the same as Poke'balls?
4. Goro(h?) got screwed, he should be playable.
5. This'll definately be how Bomberman gets into the game

Must be the eyes, then.

Doesn't look like you can throw assist trophies though, limiting their usefulness. What would be cool is if you could assign a specific summon to a character before the fight, like the assists from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. But I don't have high hopes on that happening.
