Well, there you have it.

Actually, I generally agree, although I can follow baseball pretty well (even if I care not for watching games on TV, following seasons or anything sports aficionados would do).

Well, as sentient beings created through mechanical processes to the point that we have become aware of the ramifications of this ongoing mathematic nightmare that created sentience capable of fearing itself, and the realization that everything we do and create will ultimately fold back into this gigantic chemical reaction that is the universe because these creations are nothing more than the transient amusements of a pocket of thinking particles helplessly trapped in the dumb machine that created them through sheer chance -- everything is kind of self explanatorily stupid. From an argumentative standpoint, it could be said that saying everything is stupid is the same as saying that nothing is. Which is stupid.

Actually, the truth is that's what I was going to say myself, and I had an inkling that you were going to agree with games being stupid, but it didn't seem appropriate for me to say it because I couldn't think of a way to not make it sound like some cheap attempt to make a rebuttal against the Olympics being stupid.

Sonic and Mario have no integrity, that is why they have survived so long…

I'm surprised that the SEGA guy pretty much admitted without saying it in an explicit way that STH360 sucked. That's the most interesting comment in the interviews.

I guess after awhile acknowledging they've been pinching off turds and putting them in game cases is more reassuring than pretending these bombs are installments in line with their best work.

Oh, yeah, my first time back in a couple weeks and holy shit. That's all I can really say.

This has potential. I say that every damned time a Sonic title's announced, I know. It's the new cliché for an age where we get to air our opinions on products that won't exist for another sixteen months.

I have a fear of the elements not meshing well. Not so much Mario and Sonic, their respective worlds are equally off-the-wall, but in different ways. It's the Olympic elements I fear will be too boring considering the "athletes".

Although, Mario Party has worn remarkably thin over the years and Sonic Shuffle blew ass straight out the gate. Maybe a dose of normalcy would help these spin-offs.

Although I personally find it easier to stock faith in this title than another official canon Sonic title.

If you look closely at the background, you can see the logo for the 1996 Olympic Games. I vaguely remember receiving a free plushie or plastic figure (can't remember which) of izzy from a Holiday Inn Express during a summer road trip in 96. The concept of this crossover is not what I was hoping for, but it might be fun.

My apologies; I've been on a sabbatical. As thanks for acknowledging my existence I promise not to bring up how wrong you were the next time you call someone a dolt.

It's a pity that most sports professionals are, infact, stupid jocks.

Oh, and the very concept of this game is utterly wrong. This isn't the right way the 'What if...' factor works. Also, I can do with EA having Marlboro ads in their games and all that crap, but being sponsored by the Olympics is disheartening. It's almost like nobody gives a shit about your mascots and/ or your fanbase childhood... if there's still any considerably big fanbase left at all.

Of course they give a shit. They're exploiting it.

Whoever put up that stand must either be (1) a plushie pirate, or (2) a horrible plushie maker in general. ALL of the Shadow ones are missing the chestfur.

To combine it with their bazooka plush? Or just to have some company while they slit their wrists out of spite?

The same reason they'd want a plush of anything:

a) They're collectors
b) They're fans
c) Their kids want it. (Usually this one more than likely)

Simple as that.
