Now I remember why this sounded so familiar. This website was launched sometime last fall/winter and I checked it out then. They were still planning and asked what games would be good to feature, and I suggested Sonic and Headhunter. Both of which got in. Ha.

Oh yes, and apparently the California Hollywood Bowl performance will just be the start, they'll supposedly go on tour to other locations as well. Nothing on the official website, but a news report or two suggest Denver, CO, Atlanta, GA, and Boston, MA.

Tickets are on sale right now at Ticketmaster. I've done a few searches, apparently quite a lot are still available.

Say please then. Heheheh!

I just uploaded the HPZ medley. I hope you guys enjoy it. I'd really like to see a nice remixed, synthetized or (better) live version of this. Too bad my Windows went berzerk and now I can't listen to midis or flash movies.

Pardon the bump, but it seems now this video game concert will be touring nationwide(though it seems strange that it is not touring in any city in NY). And it seems that music from Mario and Zelda will be included in this concert.
Video Games Live, the videogame music concert experience which was previously announced to take place at the Hollywood Bowl on July 6th has now revealed a list of North American tour dates that stretches through September.

The tour, which was the brainchild of noted videogame composers Jack Wall and Tommy Tallirico, will feature music from such seminal videogames franchises Mario, Zelda, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Warcraft, Myst, Castlevania, Medal of Honor, Sonic, Tron, Tomb Raider, Advent Rising, Headhunter, Beyond Good & Evil, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, EverQuest II as well as a classic arcade medley featuring music from Pong and Donkey Kong.

It's probably music from cut scenes.

I know rock music has nothing really to do with concertos, but they should have inclueded Megaman (or Megaman X- or both).

Hey, cool. The Tower City Ampitheater is a good little venue, I think.

Maybe I'll catch this show at the DTE when it comes on the 28th - who knows, the DTE regularly throws us tickets for their events, so maybe I can even go for free.

Sounds like a fun show.

Hmm... I think I get a discount for shows at DTE since I go to college right by it.... I'll have to look into this.
