He has one, towards the end of the video. Or, well, some sort of automatic weapon.

I just watched the trailer and god, that shit was both funny and stupid. I mean it really does look stupid seeing a Sonic character(I don't care how "dark" Shadow supposed to be, he still a Sonic character) packing heat with a .45.

And we are supposed to take this seriously!?

Also, I like how near the set-up of Shadow's new game in the trailer there are bullet holes in the clip of Sonic Heroes representing that Shadow is so much more of a badass than Sonic that he uses guns.

Thanks for the laugh, Sega.

Apparently someone was watching way too much Rambo when they came up with this game.

Enter the "shadowy" world of an unexpected hero... or is he? Hero or Villain? You decide
... wow. They're serious.

I gotta say, that gun is hilarious. It looks like there was a separate counter for the gun with ammo... does this mean he could switch to a shotgun or a BFG? Hah.

And that 'you decide' bit makes it sound as if there will be some sort of SUPER MORAL DECISIONS to be made along the way... a little robbery from The Suffering never hurt, eh?

What, are you kidding? This thing will sell like fucking hotcakes. Shadow, he's, like, so deep, man, and, like, no one understand him, just like all the journal high school kiddies.

And us idiot fans will buy it, too, because fuck, it's a goddamn SEGA game.

I'm thinking maybe this ISN'T the Sonic game Yuji Naka was talking about for E3. Like maybe it's a surprise game from Sega of America, done sort of on the side. I had... hopes...

Why the fuck would someone who can create blasts of energy carry a gun!? It's like Goku packing an uzi! IT MAKES NO SENSE!

Chris! Get these guys! With YOUR guns!

It's good at least that it stars Shadow, because then it can be like Chaotix -- two years later, we'll all be like, "Yeah, but that wasn't really a Sonic game."

The whole platforming genre is in a sordid state at this moment.

The difference being Chaotix actually had several appealing characters. And didn't rape Sonic's universe conceptually.

Like Shadow will no doubt rape some people.

It's not always the same gun. I think I even caught a glimpse of him brandishing a freaking Mac 10 in there somewhere, gangsta style.

TO THE MAX!

I wonder if you'll get the chance to pull off a headshot on Sonic?

And hopefully, this will be the first and last time Shadow will have his on solo game and there will never be anymore Sonic characters packing uzis, AK-47s, .45s and any other realistic gun I didn't mention since I'm not an expert on the subject like Chris.

But I doubt that would ever happen.

Also, this game will probably be awful and it will still sell over a million copies because the tweens will splooge over Shadow with guns.

I bet that this game and that stupid Sega Sonic poll are related to each other.

And I bet that Rouge will make cameo with an even more scantly-clad outfit than ever before.

The funny thing is, if you were playing as Dr. Eggman riding around in a giant mech equiped with an arsenal, I'm sure we'd all be looking forward to this game.

Because, you know - Eggman doesn't take himself so seriously that he thinks he's fucking Shakespear. And his character uses weaponry all the time. Which is why he's the bad man.
And, I bet that this game and that stupid Sega Sonic poll are related to each other.
From the looks of it, they threw it together five days after the poll started. So, yeah.

The thing is, even if you thought Jak II was a move in the wrong direction, at least it was done competently. The style and tone and art direction and character design were all altered from the original Jak and Daxter to fit the more "mature" motif.

But this... this quite literally looks like they just took Sonic Heroes, which was already the kiddiest-looking Sonic title ever, and shoved guns in it. It's not even X-TREME-ified Loonatics-style... it's just Mickey Mouse with firearms.

That they are modeled after actual real life guns makes it look all the more ridiculous.

What's that I see? It's the return of Sonic's arch nemesis -- BOTTOMLESS PIT! Didn't Sonic Heroes make it obvious that bottomless pits are evil?

I believe it is the Sonic Adventure 2 engine, so of course there have to be bottomless pits.

This news gave me hot and cold running diarrhea. PLEASE let this be just the one raised middle finger in the Sonic games to come.

I like the symbolism of Shadow riddling the previous Sonic games with bullets. Fuck Sonic Blast, THIS rapes the Sonic universe in an entirely different way.

10 bucks says Naka comes down on the bunch that concocted this hard. Sonic Xtreme HARD.

Then we'll never hear of it again until years later when fan sites troll after production members and get detailed accounts of Yuji flying in from Japan to anally rape them for their grievances.

If this actually was a SoA concocted project, then there may be hope.

By "hope" I mean "hope that it may be cancelled".

In a fight between integrity and money, who wins in the sould of Dark Lord Naka?

Hint: It's money.

That being said, I say the project gets canceled. Simply because it's going to be a NIGHTMARE to market.

The little kids won't be allowed to play it because it has a character using REAL guns.

The older players will either be too embaressed to be seen playing a Sonic game - no matter how "dark" they try to promote it as - or they'll realize what a piece of shit it is.

As I've said before, this idea is akin to giving the Mario Bros uzis and making their games an Italian mob simulation.
