I tried to sign up, but the damn thing flooded me with spam when I rebooted my computer. It also installed this thing without my permission called WeatherBug, That kept screeching at me every 10 minutes. It actually begged for mercy when I trashed it.

That's why you use AIM Ad Hack, I think I mentioned it in the second post or something. You could also just run AdAware after you install AIM, or you can use something besides the official AIM client, like Trillian or Gaim.

Heh, that reminded me of why I never use ICQ; The very first time I logged on, I got some bitch messaging me with "VIEW MY WEBCAM" shit.

For those of you too dense to realize it, you may already have it. It comes pre-installed with Windows XP as Windows Messenger, and you don't need a hotmail/msn account to use it either.

It's way less simple, and there is way more shit plaguing the chat window. Besides you can turn off all the sound effects on AIM.
