Well the game exists to be sold to 'casual families', not people who play SEGA games.

Why did they pick the most generic, boring, and soulless stage in all of Sonic 06? They could have taken Kingdom Valley instead, Crisis City, or Aquatic Base, these would have made for neat racing courses!
