I got a pair of shoes! And some socks to go with it. Also some chocolates, money, and an impressive-looking travel bag for my impending overseas trip. And some miscellaneous stuff, like a 'genuine semi-precious gemstone', a wooden pen, and two small books covering the origin of stupid everyday phrases.

I got:
- Two shirts;
- A headache;
- Some cash.
I gave:
- A vacuum cleaner;
- A Jimi Hendrix DVD;
- Clothes;
- Some cash.
Is giving more than you receive a sign of being charitable or just getting old?

You can still get the first on Amazon.Brazillian Cara wrote:because I doubt I'll ever find a copy of the first Ace Attorney game (and I'm seriously starting to consider the fourth one, too)
If you're willing to pay $45 for a "Used - Good" copy.
Though you can get the PAL version for just under $40 new! And with that you even get the option to play in French or German!
Do get Apollo Justice, though. I've seen some people bitch about it, but it was honestly very enjoyable. It doesn't have any cases quite as outstanding as the best of the previous games, but it makes up for it by not having any weak ones, either.

Though from what I've heard, you can't point the remote to use the cursor during the investigation scenes. Which, if true, is baffling.

I've always been interested in the Phoenix Wright series, but from what I understand they're kind of glorified interactive novels, which means lots of installments and little replay-ability.
Also, what's up with the character designs? Phoenix looks like he spends his free time in a wind tunnel.

Re: worldc2m3b15.wav
I got:
- New mouse and keyboard (mine were nearly a decade old)
- Pac-man shirt
- New wallet
- Tales of Monkey Island (the first episode was pretty good, that's all I've played)
- L4D2 (a bit disappointing)
- Dragon Age: Origins (which I am enjoying a lot, to my surprise)
- A toy gun
I also now have a working version of Windows installed into my Macbook via BootCamp and it runs Steam like a dream.
I gave NSMBW to my sister whose love for the DS original borders on the psychotic, but we've been playing it together so I guess it's sort of my present as well. I was hugely disappointed with the DS original and I wasn't expecting much from the Wii version except a pretty unique multiplayer experience, and it turns out I was right on the money. The decision to have 2 toads continues to mystify me. There must be an unlockable character, surely?
And yes, it has no replayability whatsoever. That said, I've never had a problem with the length of the games or the number of installments.

The character designs only get more ridiculous as the series progresses. Towards the more recent entries, Phoenix actually looks really out of place as the only moderately sane one in the courtroom (which is probably why he got a redesign in Apollo).Dr. BUGMAN wrote:I've always been interested in the Phoenix Wright series, but from what I understand they're kind of glorified interactive novels, which means lots of installments and little replay-ability.

Oh, I will - in fact, I've been searching for it for months, since buying through the internet isn't an availiable option to me (yet).Crowbar wrote: Do get Apollo Justice, though. Even if it's just a cash-in port (nothing new for Capcom), they'd better do more than motion controls. Playing on the DS DOES have a "book-ish" feel to it that they have no hope of duplicating.Blount wrote:WIIGI ARI!

Re: worldc2m3b15.wav
By the way, Apollo Justice is probably the most intuitive of the series. I think I got stuck once, maybe twice.
I got NSMBW for Christmas. And the Koopas do dance in this version, not just stop in time to the music. Maybe they were in the DS version but I just didn't notice.

Apollo Justice had such a disappointing climax compared to Trials and Tribulations. That and the main cast sucks. Even Phoenix acts nothing like he used to (except in the flashbacks).
I've got more than enough vouchers to get you all the pesky unlockables that require them. I'll give you my Wii number when I can.

Sweet! I appreciate it. I can't say I'm that far into it yet. I'm at 44% in MP3:C right now and haven't touched the other games so far. I'll pass them onto you as I get them though.
