I had heard the same thing, actually. But the way I heard it, Naka and Ohshima had a dispute over where they wanted to take Sonic after the original Sonic Adventure. Naka has been known to have a bit of an ego on him, and eventually Ohshima just packed his bags and left.

Agreed, and lets not forget the Virtua Fighter franchise. =)

Actually, the Smilebit(or what was left of Smilebit) has also been carrying Sega quality-wise post DC.
Zeta want more Panzer dragoon games bad. I only played Orta, 1, and a frew seconds of Zwei. I love the Panzer world, a Mars inhabited by god-like genetically engineered mutants, nutty locals, and a power hungry empire. And the constantly shape-shifting dragons. Zeta want more . . . bad.

I shall echo this sentiment. I've only played Zwei and Saga, both via emulator. As far as Saga goes, I finished the first disc and had to stop there, as the emulator wouldn't load the second disc for me. Zwei is condensed sex, though.

I never had a chance to play Saga. ;_;

If Sega releases a graphical update of at least Panzer Dragoon Saga, then I would probably forgive them for 70% of the crap they churned out this gen.

I actually play through saga once a year. It's fantastic! I would do unspeakable things for a graphical update!
Did Orta sell well, though? I don't remember it being a tremendous success...

Last time I heard, it sold around 80,000 units. =/

Last I heard, Saga's run ran a lot shorter than actual demand

Fuck graphical updates, they just need to put all three Saturn games (and maybe Orta) into a collection. They're some of the best games in Sega's inventory.

Sega did recently release a Sega AGES vol. 27 which is the remake of the first Panzer Dragoon.

I doubt it will be released here, though. X(

But yeah, I would love to see a Panzer Dragoon collection featuring all four games.

An art gallery would be sweet too, that stuff was gorgeous.

Hirokazu Yasuhara was the level designer and director of THE Sonic titles, who supossedly became "useless" in Naka's HO. Then, without any good gaming design ideas, Naoto Ohshima did "Pinobee"... all said. I heard in some place Yasuhara worked on Jak and Daxter 2, not really sure where.

I've got to play Panzer Dragoon on my PC. 640x480. With my trusty SideWinder gamepad. I couldn't stop touching myself. Want more.

Did you try Cassini? It's a Giri-Giri mod, and it sounds pretty good. Only bad thing's I've got no Saturn ISO's so to guarantee you if it works or not.

And I saw Zwei in a friend's Saturn back in the old days. It was the only time I cried like a whore for a videogame, and as today I still don't even know why.

Cassini is the only Saturn emulator I ever use. Most every Saturn emulation buff swears by SSF, but I personally don't know what they see in it; granted, it does emulate more stuff, but every game I've played in it looks and runs like utter shit.

Not that I'm agreeing with you or anything.

OK with me. I'm not being paid or anything for trying to help you, either.

The only one I played was Orta. Unless you count playing a level or two of the original on the Xbox after it was unlocked with Orta. I loved Orta, but something about the controls of the original didn't bode well with me. I am guessing it was either just the age or the emulation, but I remember them being so sluggish that I had to stop playing. Orta rocked though, it was just so visually insane.

That's right. Controls were uncomfortable. Still ROCKED!

The original Panzer Dragoon hasn't aged very well, but Zwei and Azel still hold up as the top-notch games they always were.
