Badniks fresh out of hell
For all of Eggman's big, nasty, typically absurd boss machines, it can be said that no force has caused as much anguish and controller destruction as the Jesus badniks. Those unassuming, normal-looking enemies with attacks that no years of arduous training or Spin-dashing expertise will protect you from. Their precision is unworldly and their assaults relentless. And there's one in every game.
Enemies from Sonic Heroes are excluded. Since you have to attack them in a different way, they're annoying in a different way.

Artificial Chaos. I'd have 500 rings and be on my way to an A-Rank, when their bloody stretching arms would smack me down. Fucking balls of jelly.
If I'm not mistaken, Gerald Robotnik created them while he was searching for a way to create the Ultimate Lifeform - he somehow studied Chaos and his Emeralds.I feel those damn Artifical Chaos bastards are the worst I can think of... I mean the ball form ones are just the cheapest badnik ever... And how did they get up there anyway, did GUN make them or were they always there...

Seriously dude, you'd have to be pretty stupid to get hit by one of them the second time around.Crazy Penguin wrote:Kapu-kapu, those Hydrocity Zone bastards that latch onto you, prevent you from jumping or spinning and eat up your rings until you die.
My vote goes to the Artificial Chaos as well, though I'm not the least bit surprised that every single Badnik from Metropolis Zone made that list.
I voted for Artificial Chaos as well, though two other good nominations would be:
- E-1000 -- "if it moves, shoot it." (SA2) Mainly for how much of an f'ing pain they are in the Knuckles and Rouge levels.
- The use of spikes in any Sonic Advance game, epecially the ones that pop up out of the ground in the most obvious place to stand (even though they're not badniks, they're just about as aggravating).

Pretty much sums up my vote. What really gets to me is that they shouldn't be so damn tough. The bots on the ARK as a whole are tougher than the ones on Earth despite being 50 freaking years old. & the Metropolis guys are losers on paper. The starfish kills itself, the mantis is defenseless after it's only attack & the crab can only attack in 1 direction. The Artifical Chaos got my vote as well. A-rank anguish aside, their attacks are still utterly impossible to avoid. All three Metropolis Zone badniks tie for second place.

The crab wasn't a pain, but the mantis was a bitch with its one attack and the stars were always in a place where you could not avoid.
Also spikes in the first Sonic were a bitch. I dunno how many times when I first started playing the game where I would jump for the spring in the middle of two spikes and miss, only to lose my rings on the first set and then be bounced into the second set and die. They don't deserve to be on this poll though.

I think the crabs in Metropolis Zone would hit me almost every time I got near one, it's not something I thought of immediately but they're probably the most annoying for me. Those gas cloud enemies in Lava Reef really pissed me off for a while but I think that was because I didn't know I could kill them.
Either way, the Artifical Chaos really deserve the vote.

OH!!! So that's why it takes a while before I die, it eats my rings, anyway, just shake,(left, right, left, right, left etc.) and it leaves, Hydrocity Zone used to be the most hardest level for me, but now it's the easiest, right now i'm having trouble with Carnival Night Zone, Act 2 to be specific, there's a part that i'm having a problem with and don't understandCrazy Penguin wrote:Kapu-kapu, those Hydrocity Zone bastards that latch onto you, prevent you from jumping or spinning and eat up your rings until you die.
