I voted for Shadow, because he screwed up Sonic continuty so much in the last couple of games (Heroes, Adventure 2, etc.). That, and he was a really pointless character. Ooh, a palette swap of Sonic: the definition of CREATIVITY!!! Give me Metal Sonic anyday.

I rather like Big, if only for a) having a game mechanic in SADX that I could actually play rather better than the standard "run around dead fast" one and b) having my fave theme tune of the six SADX playable characters. If they'd played him more as a "relaxed and slow-paced" character than just the dim-witted persona they gave him, he'd never have got the grief he's received.

Okay, fishing is a rather odd game mechanic. But when you get down to it, so are Tails' racing Action Stages against Sonic. They're on the same side, for goodness' sake. What does it matter if Sonic reaches that particular Emerald, Capsule, etc. first? The only one that makes sense is the final one against Robotnik, by which stage you're grateful for a sense of rationality. I don't mind Tails himself though, irritating voice aside. He's one technologically gifted, if occasionally naive, fox.

It may sound vaguely random, but I'm going to go with Zero, the logically challenged badnik that relentlessly chases Amy and "Birdie" in Sonic Adventure. Honestly, he's still chasing them long after Birdie's Emerald has been retrieved, long after both the Doc's Plan A and B are ruined, with no thought to the consequences. If Gamma's the brainy member of the Badnik family tree, Zero belongs with the chimps.

While Big is the most retarded when mentality is concerned, I actually LIKE Big (not his game in SA1, but as a character), so my vote goes to New-Charmee/Charmy, who is a plague upon us all. Although I'll admit I liked his voice in Sonic Heroes, dub and otherwise =3

Ok, the thing about "retarded" characters is that they can be either funny and/or interesting or just plain embarassing in the game they are. It all depends on the way you see them. Big for example, he's so retarded that he became a funny character. And many players hate the new Charmy because they see him as a happy-go-luck kid that'll make the respect that the Sonic series got with SA and SA2 go to the rock bottom. Believe me, imagine that he's a crack-addicted kid (as I did) makes the WHOLE difference.

Anyway if they ever do a game where Knuckles has to run way of Charmy it would be funny. He really has to run way of Charmy, is not like the Sonic&Amy thing, at least Amy is a girl...

Back to topic, I tought Charmy WAS an annoying character, but in a funny way (I mean, he says the stupidiests shits in the wrong time- the Team Chaotix/Team Rose encounter is a classic).
