Draining spirit/life energy is still plausable.

Well, he used rings in Advance 3 as someone may or may not have pointed out. But that's a bit daft 'cos if the badnik hurts Sonic, he can pop 'im then grab the ring from the wreckage.

It would be better to process the icky's food directly into the robot in a sort of synthetic digestive system. From what I remember in biology you lose about 90% of energy from one tropic level to the next so using animals as an engine is incredibly inefficient. The Chaos Emerald theory is the only one that makes sense, that or the hippie one.

And in Heroes, it's possible that the 'bots are just battery powered or those spheres could just be Eggman's version of Chaos Drives or something.
But aren't some animals food for some other animals?

And on the Sonic 1 instruction manual, says that "The mad scientist dr. Ivo Robotnik" transformed his friends in evil robots. So, the animals would pretty much be the raw material for creating the badniks.

After that he probably discovered he could create the animals on his own, as long as they had some source of energy, and has been trying out since now.

What really beats me is why he has given up making animal-like robots. Maybe that was just an effect of the roboticization process, which doesn't make sense because you have, like, little pandas coming out of a snake-like badnik for crying out loud.

Ergo, it's not 'roboticization'. At least not the kind you're thinking of. He's not transforming flesh into metal; that'd be completely retarded.

It'd be pretty fucking cool, though.

He's not even making cyborgs. He just takes a bunny, puts it on a treadmill, and makes that the engine of a robot. 6_6

Yes and you lose generally 90% of the available energy when you move from one level to the next, which is why carnivores tend to eat large quantities of food.

That's pretty much all he fires. The laser is only for locking-on to targets, and it isn't from his gun, but from that thing on his head.
"With a steel heart inside a steel body
I'm a high-tech assault machine
Watch out for the laser rifle on my right arm!"

I'm just sayin'.

If you'd mis-spelt that "cannon" it would've been hilarious. BECAUSE GUNS ARE INVOLVED HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Baba, E102's theme is an instrumental. That is his Engrish quote from SA, which came from Sonic Team. I fail to see how it isn't official.

Because there is no possible situation where E102 would state such things aloud to himself or another.

Didn't Amy shave the cat?

It was either that or paint herself blue, because evidently the sight of parsley turns her on.

Wow did you even play Sonic Adventure? He pointlessly narrates to himself all the time: "Accessing data. No Data found. Location unknown. This presents a problem."

Type with your fingers.
Say with your mouth.

I'm just saying. Or typing. Bah.

And I always thought Knuckles' duty was to save the Flower from evil deterioration...

There was also an interview with Iizuka about the Shadow game in Nintendo Power. Oh, and he thinks Sonic Heroes was the best 3D Sonic game, and he was surpised at how well it sold, despite the media underrating it...yeah
