They're not going to put SWATbots in it. It just wouldn't make sense. Why would they do something so stupid?

Considering the fact that they're making a game starring Shadow where you use guns, fight aliens, ride vehicles and attempt to appeal to the crowd that likes things to be "BADASS" (i.e. fucktards), do you really think they're above doing that?

Latest issue of the UK magazine Gamemaster has a 5-page feature on this game. The article seems to focus on Shadow's gun and generally stuff we already know. It does have an interview with Takashi Iizuka. Main points of interest are:
- Plot seems to be able helping Shadow remember his past. So Shadow could be a clone/robot or amnesiac.
- Guns are 'just one facet of gameplay'.
- There will be multiple endings and paths through the game.
- We will have a choice of intense speed, or pure destruction (probably meaning we don't have to use weapons)
- 'So the primary adventure revolves around our star, Shadow'. This seems to suggest there will be other playable characters.

Read the article some more and it seems Sonic and Co will be in this game, and you will be able to fight on their side. That makes four sides, Sonic, Robotnik, GUN and alien.

Interestingly, Robotnik is only refered to as Robotnik in the article. Could this become his main name again?

And the plot involves the hunt for the Chaos Emeralds... again.

And Sonic & co. are going to be in it? Crap. I was hoping they'd get left out entirely, even storywise(Wouldn't make any sense I know, but if they can throw freaking ALIENS into the mix, I figure it's anything goes for this game's story).

Doubtful. In Sega Europe's news article they still call him Eggman.

So yeah, I echo the sentiments about Sonic and co. appearing in this travesty as I too was hoping that they would be spared from this steaming pile.

If SoA are developing the game then I can see why the good Doctor is being called Robotnik again.
I agree with Protodude though, Shadow vs GUN makes more sense as they were the ones who incarcerated him in the first place.
I think I seen a shot where Shadow goes against the lizard aliens so I'm confused on what happens when you "kill" an enemy. Alien androids fits in but then again, what in this game does "fit in".

But SoA as we know it was liquidated years ago; it doesn't make sense to assume they're up to their old tricks. Not to me, anyway.

Pfft... they're just trying to make a Sonic game with a dark character(dark= gothic, and gothic= money. Want a prove? Underworld and it's future sequel) AND with the lastest trends in the industries. Surelly the game will allow you to upgrade your weapons (a la Ratchet and Clang)the rockets and stuff is stripped directly from both GTA AND Jak and Daxter.

So, in the end, Sega is just trying to SELL. Period. They stoped caring about quality A LONG TIME AGO. Go blame god, the Pope, or Yu2. It's your choice.
