UFOs are UFOs

Dont call them aliens.

When Sonic destroyed them in Sonic CD, you didnt see an Alien inside did you?

Iizuka is Drunk, that must be it.

It doesn't change the fact aliens pilot UFOs. Doesn't take mushroom biologist to know that. Plus, I think aliens are pretty cool, even in a Sonic game. It's different, yes, but it shouldn't give you a reason to make negative assumptions towards Iizuka. Guns, vechicles, aliens, blah bloo blee bliddy blah, don't care. I have no feelings toward the game for I havn't tried it yet. I just hope Sonic 2K5 (Tentative title for the Gamecube Sonic game Yuji Naka mentioned awhile ago) isn't anything like the game is all. So, I'm done. I'll remain silent now.

UFO is an acronym for Unidentified Flying Object. It does NOT mean said object came from outer space, or is manned by an extraterestrial. All it means is that it is a flying object, and it is unidientified, for one reason or another.

I know, I know. I just needed say something. ^_^
On a related note, the game does look better than Sonic Heroes, despite the new theme and the unnatural changes. But like I said, all running action stages. We've been begging for those for quite a long time. My hope is that Sonic 2K5 will have 'em as well, with simplistic Sonic gameplay. You know, instead of Homing Attack, why not allow Sonic to do the W Kaiten Attack? When Sonic uses that move on an enemy, that could cause him to go flying in the air like the Sonic the Hedgehog 3: Sonic & Knuckles. PING, WHOOSH!

Aliens... Guns... Sounds like a 3D Jazz Jackrabbit game to me. So I guess I can predict the next spinoff: Rouge the Acro-bat!

The beta shots of Sonic X-treme looked like the unholy love child of Bubsy 3D and Bug!, so I think it's safe to say that it would have most probably sucked.

I thought the level concepts were cool, anyway. I'd take Red Sands and Crystal Frost over Bingo Highway and Pumpkin Hill.

I'll agree with that, but only because X-Treme actually didn't have level themes plagiarised from the first Sonic games (excluding Jade Gully), unlike the umpteenth time said classic levels have now been rehashed in Sonic Team's recent games.

I am torn between jumping down SegaSonic's throat and punching my way out of his esophagus with a rusty spoon, or kicking Professor Machenstein in the face.

Cool. I'm pretty sure I've never threatened to reorganize someone from the inside of their throat using a spoon before, though.

The best 3D level design was that found in SA1, they should go back to those kind of levels.

you know the Sonic levels.

I can see where you're going with that spoon thing, actually.

I'd use a whisk, though.

Actually the gun fit's Amy better than Shadow. At least she actually needs one more than him.

Baba, why stick to kitchen utensils? Use a hedge trimmer!

No I don't.
I was talking to you, not about you. Duh.
Well, you said X-treme sucks and HAVE YOU PLAYED THAT??
I never said such a thing. In fact, I still haven't forgiven Naka for ruining any chance I had to play it.

Where I'm from, that's actually how we greeted each other. Tasering is for farewells.

Maybe, but... It's not a Sonic game. It has spin-off spelt all over it. Besides, Yuji Naka did say that he'd reveal the new Gamecube Sonic game at E3, not the Walk of Game. Plus, Shadow the Hedgehog is made by SEGA Studio USA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not Sonic Team, where Yuji Naka mainly works at?

Or we could have some "all vehicle" levels.
Or some "all shooting" levels.
Or some minigame levels.

They did say 50 missions after all. I doubt they're all full length action stages.

I thought that Pumpkin Hill was quite creative, it had that classic Sonic quirkiness without being derivative.
