So does he, like, put effort into capitalizing the wrong things?

I'd like to know more about this Team Sonic game that was supposed to be the Saturn's Sonic title.

Well, it doesn't look that much different from what a typical English press release from a Japanese company would look like. I'll give it that much.

When Sonic Team started reusing their original name in 1996, they were frequently incorrectly referred to as ‘Team Sonic’. During the unveiling of Sonic the Fighters, the team vaguely described a new Saturn game that they were going to officially announce shortly. Western magazines labelled the title as a Sonic game, but, in retrospect, the description seems to be referring to NiGHTS, so it seems likely that ‘Team Sonic’ never had any plans for a Saturn Sonic title.

I thought Team Sonic was an alternative name for Sonic! Software Planning (now Camelot Software Planning) and never had anything to do with Sonic Team at all. Huh.

That is true, but that 'Team Sonic' never had a Saturn Sonic title planned. ^_^

A listing over at gamestop.com reveals that a Sonic game is in the works for Sony's PSP. The genre is listed as "Action, Adventure, Racing." It has a November release date and a $39.99 price tag.

Right now, there's absolutely no information on what this is / could be, but regardless, it should make PSP-owning Sonic fans happy to hear. When we find out, we'll be sure to let you know.

In other Sonic news, word has it that the latest issue of Play magazine reveals that a Sonic Collection 2 is in the works for Nintendo's GameCube. Sonic CD and Sonic The Fighters are just two of the many games to be included in the collection. We can't confirm this, as we haven't seen the magazine, so if you have the latest Play, go ahead and let us know by posting a comment below.
