There is a possiblity this could be a hoax as none of the major gaming news site reported any screenshots or other new info on which platform this game will be on.

High hoax probablility. Every bit of those graphics (besides the giant explosion) is taken straight from the original game, and the "3D" appears to be carefully applied Photoshop warping effects.

Wasn't there a report of a possible Gunstar Heroes remake on the GameBoy Advance? I reckon I saw one on IGN somewhere's.

You're probably thinking of Guardian Heroes.

But that one happened. Remember when there were "reports of possible" collections (on GBA or otherwise) of their 16-bit lineup?

Stop crushing the dream. Sega can do that for us.

Guardian Heroes sucked, if I'm not mistaken.

You mean the original or Advance? Because Advance apparently isn't that hot. But if you mean the original, I'm going to demand you be douched.

Speaking of New Sonic Games!
Sonic News has been tipped off by an employee of Game Crazy and forum member Spinos that Game Crazy's release dates have been updated - including the new Sonic game, titled "Sonic R EXTREME".

The date has been set at Q1 2006 (first quater - January, February, March) and is said to be on all platforms, but no other details were available. If this information is true, then we can expect a sequel to the SEGA Saturn/PC racing game which involved Sonic and friends racing each other in 3D environments.

Game Crazy have yet to update their website with any information, however, Spinos recommends asking at your local store for more details. If anyone in America gets an opportunity to confirm this information, then please contact SN immediately.

I believe it. Game Crazy employees are not only highly credible, but it is well known that they get inside information on a regular basis.
