In a special brown crap box on a special brown crap disk.
"Shadow 2: Enter the Crap" where Shadow realises he is made of reconstituted ideas and shit. Heck, he was Biolizards shit after serious case of constipation.

He sure doesn't seem afraid of offending anyone. Anyway, I follow the Jap storyline. Because it actually has a story.

Reala wrote a pretty good explanation of the Mobius/Earth thing. To my knowledge, it's all accurate.
And to think, a writing talent like that, wasting away in jail. Such a shame.

The reason the Japanese storyline is more correct is because the games were made by the fucking Japanese. Jesus!

I think I remember reading that "article" (and I do use the term loosely) back in the day. If I remember correctly, it was something along the lines of:

"basically all u fags that think there is a mobius UR WRONG and all you fags who talk about segasonic UR WRONG TOO i worked on teh sega games so i know the real deal THE REAL DEAL IS UR ALL WRONG AND UR FAGS LOL"

That about the gist of it?

Actually, now that I look back on it, that's a pretty accurate synopsis.

Actually, thinking back to the first Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon, wasn't that set on Mobius?

Before anyone say's so, I know it wasn't totally official.

I don't really care for Reala's explanation there. What Esrever said: the Japanese storyline is the correct one. (The following's mostly for Omni-Hunter)

But for the other branches (the Taki anime, DiC cartoons, comics, etc.) it's another story. It's pointless to argue that the UK comic is wrong because it takes place on Mobius, for instance; technically everything that doesn't take place in the games is wrong, including Sonic X. But it's no hassle since each is their own seperate and distinct continuity. The SoA storyline for the games, though, took the PLACE of the original - a big no-no in my book. The US manuals were basically watered-down versions of the Japanese ones anyway. No big loss.

BTW, could somebody shorten that URL so it doesn't stretch the page?

Yes, you are retarded.

Also: you're, not your. Unless you meant my serious, which was a typo for Sirius, in which case yes, he is mine. No touchy.

Planet Freedom or So Ive Heard...

Yet another alternate Universe.

Im Glad to see people Know that The Japanese Story is the One, its a No brainer.

Even if SoA made the Story before the Japanese, the Japanese story is always the right one, Because they make the Game.

its just that there are some many frekking people trying to make money out of Sonic that they kept inventing Crap after crap.

Futuristic Earth, it seems, though the English dub calls it Planet Freedom.

Yeah, it was kinda neat that it was sorta a Future Earth. you saw all the streets and buildings. That was a good movie. the best Sonic Anime you can find.

But in the Games Sonic is in Present time Earth.

and in Sonic X they ruined it Yet Again, and worse by making Sonic from another planet.

or could it be the future as well? We'll see.

So here's what I think Sega's plan is at this point:

They give Shadow his own SERIES but remove him from the regular Sonic games with no explenation at all. That way they satisfy the Shadow fans while appeasing the ones who hate him, and suddenly find themselves with two hedgehogs to milk. Everybody wins.

Except us, because Sonic Team still can't make good games.

I don't actually believe any of that, but I'd like to see this beat the boobies topic.

Planet Freedom is the name in the Japanese version of the Sonic Anime too. It did have what, Naka and Ohshima in the opening credits? So while obviously not the "real" universe I always felt that they'd managed to recreate the feel of the games so well (it was pretty much what I wanted it to be anyway) with Sonic Team's assistance. I figured since Sonic was designed and marketed in Japan to give off the impression that he was "made in the USA," Planet Freedom (and "the president") alluded to that aspect.

I always felt the whole President and his cat-daughter creature were weird-ass, along with Knuckles' crazy hat, even when I was like 13 or whenever I first watched it.

Naka, Ohshima, and Sonic Team are all listed in the opening credits.

Sonic Anime>(xinfinity)>>SatAM
Sonic Blast>(xinfinity+1)>>>>Shadow of a Hedgehog

As for the Sonic settings...most of the places in the games are based on Earth places (e.g. South Island, New Zealand). Sonic X was just plain stupid for starting off in Mobius...
