You can tape it so long as you dub the Sonic R soundtrack over it. Specifically Diamond in the Sky.

Hey! I liked Music Plant! I do agree that Sonic R's soundtrack sucked for a racing game; woulda worked better in an actual Sonic game.

What relevance does Music Plant have to Sonic? Although the level designs for Sonic Advance 2 were pretty poor, a volcano without lava, inside a computer and a city with banjos for buildings?
I never seen such whack ideas since S3D and that was due to travellers tales.

I liked the level art in Sonic Advance 2, even if some of the stages themselves were a little bizarre for a Sonic game. But if all of Sonic Advance 3's art direction had been up to the same standard, it would have countered my biggest criticism of the game. :/

I just bought Advance 3 and I adore the Zone art, Chaos Angel in particular. I also don't hate the obligatory ice level, and the aurora borealis in the sky is a nice touch.

I didn't mind the design of Twinkle Snow. And I liked the music a lot.

In fact, if it wasn't for Toy Kingdom, I'd say the level and art design of this game is practically flawless compared to the last two Advance games.

I'd rather it had some kind of mecha Sonic, perhaps even bringing back the S3K model, instead of G-Merl

Chaos Angel looks fantastic... it's one of my favourite looking 2D Sonic stages ever. Ditto for Sunset Hill. Most of the other levels look all right, but not up to the same standard.

But then everything comes to a screetching halt in the middle of the game with Toy Kingdom and Twinkle Snow. I actually think Twinkle Snow is the worst offender... the background is OK, but the foreground is just plain fugly. Those random hunks of brown wood and bridges look hideous paired with the blueish snow. I mean it's bad enough that it's the most generic-looking level ever, without also making it the most garish generic-looking level ever. It looks like someone with no understanding of colour theory spent about ten minutes putting it together.

The other major problem is the inexplicable absence of multi-layered backgrounds from a lot of the stages. What was up with that? It really bothered me. The few stages that had them looked really slick.

Maybe it was the same person who forgot to put boiling hot magma in the Hot Crater level.

Plus the Leaf Forest background looks like something out of Super Mario Bros. What the fuck are those shapes in the background?

It's only been a day, as opposed to, say, six days, or a month.

I hit the "reply" button before looking at the date of the last post, honest mistake!

Since we know the results of the poll we should probabily lock this topic anyway, any takers?

Why the hell should we have to lock every topic after its usefulness has run out? You people should just STOP POSTING when you don't have anything useful to contribute!

Hear, hear. Forums are only locked if it's dead or something major happens, neither of which have just happened.

Brody Armstrong scares me. Her voice is so gravelly you could surface a driveway with it.
