Sorta, except I like to think I was old enough that it didn't skew my line of thinking. For instance I do not think all blacks were born from the cursed seed of Kane and I don't think homosexuality is a problem that can be fixed. Basically I think I got a liberal viewpoint out of living in Maryland and Utah didn't skew it.

Those mormons. Take a bunch of black and white people, and you have the chance that on the genetic level, there is more difference between a white and a white than a white and a black -- or a black and a black than a black and a white. Skin color is based on a bunch of genes, it doesn't mean a goddamn thing. /end rant, preaching to the choir, &c.

Also, mormons are batshit.

I'm friends with some mormons, my roommate is one that sorta renounced his religion. The ones that aren't gung-ho are pretty cool. I still make fun of them though.

Oh and in response to Del's post, I heard humans and mice are 98% genetically identical. Well not identical, but same types of genes.

While the Mormon beliefs are pretty much batshit insane, all of the Mormons I know/have known have been really cool people. Same goes for the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jehovah's Witnesses are funny. One guy came to my door once and he's all "Dahahaha you're going to Hell!!1" and I was all "Wow, you sure sold the ideals of Christianity to me there, buddy" and slammed the door in his face. He actually kept ringing the doorbell for, like, the next five minutes, persistent fucker.
