As previously reported on the GHZ Newsboard, the release of Kimishine was to be accompanied by a launch party in the Japanese town of Station Square. The event ended yesterday, and both Watch Impress and It Media have posted pictures and details:
^ Japanese band, Super Rabbit, played the Kimishine signature tune. Apparently, this is their first ever public performance and so the band was naturally very nervous. However, they were pleased to be able to help promote the game.
^The organizers were impressed by the number of fans who came.
^ Mr. Suitsu Hataya, the composer of the song, dressed up as the game’s hero. His previous works include the themes to Space Channel 5 and NiGHTS.
^ The audience participated by shouting “Rub It!” during the chorus. Hataya-san jumped-up each time they did this.
^ Lots of people entered the Kimishine lottery to win rare merchandise.
Naka-san was also at the event and is a big fan of Super Rabbit. According to Naka-san, developing DS games is a very different experience compared to creating games for traditional consoles.
During the event, it was confirmed that a Kimishine sound track CD and strategy guide are planned for release.
