Sega have released new pictures of Sonic Mega Collection Plus and Sega Super Stars.

^ This is intriguing… could be a save mode or just a mere book-keeping screen?
^ The Heroes CGI cutscenes will be in the movies section….
^ …while some concept art will also feature.

Here is a clip that is apparently from the movie Sega showed at TGS (although, I could be wrong).
Look at the top left corner. The clip is very distorted, but it appears to show a green thing jumping and then turning into a side scrolling rocket. Surely that can't be what I think it is, could it?

Well, I don't know what you thought it was, but the screen in the top left corner is showing that Comix Zone game. If you look in it's uppermost right corner, you'll see it has the same little stats gauge as does the screen in the middle/right... which is definitely showing Comix Zone. I hope you weren't hoping for the V-man! Sorry. :(

Theres your videos.
Sega Superstars looks quite nice actually. I don't see how Crazy taxi's game works, but the Billy Hatcher one looks pretty damn good.
I'm just a bit worried on how LONG these are. I mean, Monkey Ball could really be a full game or an add-on to Monkey Ball DX if it wanted. Maybe it's just the 50 extra levels in DX? The Sonic level seems to be different looiking compared to the early images.
Sonic Mega Collection + seems to have some making of footage of the Heroes CGs, which is a plus, and sketches!
Puyo Pop Fever DS looks like the GBA version [maybe a bit better?] with Dual screens. The bottom screen is used to show reactions between the two characters.
Puyo Pop Fever PSP is more like the console versions, more flashy firework effects, and a bit more 'bounce' to the Puyos when they crash down, but that might be the bigger video compared to the DS one, as it has to show 2 screens.

Now that's a decent extra (assuming there's quite a few of them), unfortunately it's too little too late.big_smile wrote:

The original Mega Collection (the sucky one) was released on Gamecube. This new version is being released on Playstation 2 and Xbox.Cernex wrote:Wiat, wait... since )'m kindda new at this, for what console is this "Sonic Mega Collection Plus" being released to??? PS2, X-Box, or NGC???
Ah, man, what did happen to our old buddy Vectorman? The first was a damned fine piece of platforming. The sequel was pretty good, though not as many people seem to like it. There was that crappy PS2 game in working a while back, but that was cancelled. It seems he's been relegated to the Sega rest home along with who knows how many characters...
Quite possibly the reason Nintendo still has a console and Sega doesn't is that Nintendo has a wide range of mascot characters - all balanced to appeal to different demographics. One look at Super Smash Bros Melee will make anyone realize that - Mario, Samus, Fox McCloud, the Pokemon, Donkey Kong, the F-Zero gang.It seems he's been relegated to the Sega rest home along with who knows how many characters...
Sega, on the other hand, experiments with mascot characters but kills them off after one game - instead they choose to focus entirely on a single franchise: Sonic. This habit of putting all their eggs in one basket is surely ONE of the reasons their consoles following the Genesis did so poorly - Saturn didn't even HAVE a decent Sonic game, and Sonic's identity alone wasn't enough to attract the casual gamer to the Dreamcast.
If Sega balanced it's resources amongst regularly creating games featuring Burning Rangers, Sonic, NiGHTs, Samba, Super Monkey Ball, Virtua Fighter, Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio, Puyo Puyo, ChuChu Rocket, Billy Hatcher, Space Channel 5, Vectorman, Ristar, Phantasy Star, and (dare I suggest it?!) Alex Kidd - we'd problably be playing the follow-up to the Dreamcast RIGHT NOW.
Putting all of their hope and dreams and cashflow squarely on the shoulders of a single blue hedgehog is no doubt what's currently slowly but surely killing them.

Even before the godawful-looking Vectorman PS2 revival (which it seems has been dropped), there was a Vectorman in the works for Saturn, and there was even a movie being scripted.
It's kind of tragic. That new Vectorman looked awful, but I'd still rather see him revived than Altered Beast. Altered Beast wasn't even good when it was new. Though it was actually the first Genny game I ever played.
