Like Amy using the Genesis jump sound while everyone else uses a generic one.

Since you guys love the Tails facts so much… FOXY FACT: Tails is more interested in inventing than Sonic’s heroics.

INCOMING COMPLAINTS

What is the point of even having Tails if he is not keen on moving quickly and does not like Sonic? The whole point was to have a side kick who moved quickly and who had a main interest in Sonic. Couple that with his model looking like shite when he is supposed to look cute and it literally has no appeal. He is just tall, boring, and has a blank stare, plus he seems to be made of dough.

I suppose next Knuckles will not be interested in digging or the Master Emerald and Robotnik will not be interested in capturing animals (oh wait) or making robots.

I suspect that's why Flash corrected himself in the post immediately below it!

I know where you're coming from. Nintendo did the same thing with its 3DS, too... which ALSO gets a release date next week. Which I'm honestly a lot more stoked for than this one (seriously, let's get the game out the door, so the bitching can cease and we can move on with life).

No they didn't. They never even touched the subject of the release date, which of course triggered the press to go and bug them about it, and then they were generous enough to let us know when they planned to reveal it. So basically you're complaining because they let you in on a secret.

It did not come from a blog post by someone named "RubyEclipse", at any rate.

Yeah the way sega handles community relations is starting to get a little bit creepy. It wasn't always like this right? Didn't it start in full with the whole "needlemouse" announcement bullshit?

The way i see it, this is basically just a confirmation of what everyone already figured out. Tails' really hasn't shown any interest in or any kind of bond with Sonic since Sonic Adventure. And vice versa, for that matter. Sonic is always to busy proclaiming his lifelong friendship towards whatever one shot character he has stumbled upon to take notice of Tails, while Tails in true autistic fashion shows no interest in any kind of bonding with anyone.

That's kind of realistic in a way though. People drift apart. The guy you idolized when you were 6 might not seem so cool when you're 20.

Sonic and Tails: Friends No More?!?!?! Yeah, Archie is real neat.

As for the story line involving this, I always pictured game events to be happening days apart. It is not like the characters have ever aged despite a few adjustments, which for Sonic led to reverse aging. I think it is all more along the lines of Sonic Team being the most pathetic big developer in existence.

As for those community turds, I am not sure where they came from either. Just one day they showed up with their lame Sonic 4 announcements, Play SEGA stuff, and terrible Twitter give aways. In addition to that, AAUK at SEGA Europe has been phackin' around since around Sonic 06.

So it seems Microsoft have revealed that Sonic 4: Episode 1 is out on 13th October.

I'll probably give the trial version a try at least. Not sure if the full game will be worth it.

Here's the full release details.
The game will be available for download on the iTunes App Store starting Oct. 7, the Wii Shop Channel on Oct. 11 (15th Oct in EMEA territories), the PlayStation Network on Oct. 12 in America (Oct 13th in EMEA territories), and Xbox Live Arcade on Oct. 13 across all territories.

Sonic 4 will be priced at 1500 Wii Points on WiiWare, 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Arcade, and $14.99 / £9.99 / €12.99 / AU$19.95 on the PlayStation Network.
OK, what is with that price? I thought it would be cheaper.
