Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
So apparently there's a Phantasy Star Online track in this game. I just went from being completely uninterested to day one purchase mode. This had better be half way decent.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Nope, sorry dude
Errr de-confim
I’m not sure which track they’re talking about – but it’s not a PSO one. They’ve likely seen a Final Fortress stage

Haha, the Rainbow Road vibe on that Samba track is hilarious.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
So now Sonic 4's page and Sonic Stadium are broken.

Humar with Hucast as his co-pilot in a car, instant buy for me...but yea false alarm for us both.So apparently there's a Phantasy Star Online track in this game. I just went from being completely uninterested to day one purchase mode. This had better be half way decent.
Both are up now, after a thousand years of waiting. :)OK
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Actually I just could not understand what this had to do with this game. There is another thread going for Needledick Mouse.Dasher wrote:Both are up now, after a thousand years of waiting. :)
Although I probably should not have made this post.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Yeah my bad, I got lazy and didn't post why I said that, is because when FlashTHD posted that link to how the rumor was false, well the link was broken at the time...or should I say the whole site was broken earlier.
So what I really wanted to say was something like "great both links are broken now, on this topic Sonic Stadium and the other topic I was on earlier SEGA.com is also broken for Needledick Mouse" as you call it.
THE END.

Why couldn't this game have been the crossover with Mario instead of the stupid Olympics games?

Because Mario Kart is for gay niggers from outer space.Zeta wrote:Why couldn't this game have been the crossover with Mario instead of the stupid Olympics games?

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Well, there is that weird rumor about Sonic being playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2. I don't think this is going to happen (unless SEGA and Nintendo decide to do the same thing as whoever published the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games), but when you think about it, something like this has become more likely these days.Zeta wrote:Why couldn't this game have been the crossover with Mario instead of the stupid Olympics games?

Except Crash and Spyro are both owned by the same corporation (Universal, I think). Spyro was even built off of Crash's engine.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
That sounds terrible unless there were Sonic-specific levels.
If he filled Luigi's shoes as a secret character when you get all the stars, it'd still be really out of place. That's the only other way I can see them shoehorning him in there. Well, maybe as a cameo in the background or something. It'd still be jarring.

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Isn't the rumour that Sonic will be appearing in a specific area, the "Green Hill Galaxy"?
It seems weird... but if Nintendo earned a second Sonic cameo in exchange for letting Sega publish a second Mario and Sonic Olympics game, I suppose they've got to stick him somewhere.

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Last I checked, it was Sega who came to Nintendo, asking if they could toss Mario into their Olympic Games game... which means if anyone owes anyone anything, Sega would owe Nintendo. Meaning Miyamoto and his crew there would have actively wanted Sonic to be in Super Mario Galaxy 2, which sounds all sorts of weird.
I mean, it'd be friggin' awesome if true, since I think Nintendo is one of the few companies who could do the guy justice - especially the Galaxy team, considering Galaxy was one of the freshest, most fun titles I'd played in years. I just think it's incredibly farfetched, and am actually rather surprised people are taking it seriously.

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Maybe it's just another step closer to a Nintendo-produced Sonic game? You know I'm down with it.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
A Sonic game done by the Galaxy team? I think that's everyone's dream, but it's probably never gonna happen.
Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Super Mario Galaxy was disappointing.

You're disappointing.
