I think it's a mitt for protecting the non-striking hand from burns.
(For example: http://www.ydalir.co.uk/gallery/2006/el ... th_big.jpg.)

But it does look more like a sock puppet.

Who knows, maybe it talks too.
All things considered, the character designs look kinda good so far. Most of them, that is.

For some reason Shadow looks hilariously ridiculous to me, with that helmet on. Probably because it's even more out of place than the guns and motorcycle were in his game.

Knuckles reminds me of those Sonic X space fighter figures, or whatever they're called.

Shadow's helmet is out of place. Instead of looking like some sort of noble knight, his proportions make him look like some sort of ridiculous bobblehead. Strangely enough, I've never had the same issue with Knux, but that's probably only because his armor design looks more original, fitting, and cool.

Oh, and it's cool how authentic the designers got Tail's blacksmith garb, oven mitt and all.

Call me crazy, but I think Shadow looks better with the helmet on.

So Shadow just went from a Sonic wannabe to a Meta Knight wannabe. Intriguing.

Heh, Shadow voiced by Antonio Banderas.

I think I realize why Knuckles' armor looks the best, you can still see his mouth.

Am I the only one who thinks Knuckles' shoes look as blocky and awkward as the early 3D titles like SA1 or... R??!

I've just noticed that Shadow's armor is designs is meant to mimic his chest fur.

Also Percival, does this mean Blaze is actually a dude in this game or just a cross-dresser?

Well, her body doesn't appear to obey the general 'hips wider than shoulders' rule, but that probably doesn't mean anything.

Blaze was mentioned as being very sensitive about being flat-chested in the leaked CulT script for Sonic 06, so maybe this is sort of an inside joke? She doesn't tend to act very feminine, anyway.

It was just brought to my attention that the faceplates aren't actually attached to or supported by anything.

Blaze's in particular appears to be BOLTED DIRECTLY TO HER HEAD.

Yet she's still wearing high heels. Armor plated high heels. No doubt an integral component of her personal style of swordsmanship, sagely incorporated after years of rigorous training and combat experience.

Meanwhile, Knights in the Nightmare is coming out in English in May!!!
Visors bolted to heads? Phh. Kitten has armours with parts of them hovering in mid-air. Not to mention the general art direction, music (had the soundtrack CDs for a while now) and gameplay are utterly excellent, but that's hardly surprising with this coming from the makers of Riviera and Yggdra Union!

How is Sega so bad at keeping this stuff secret?

They probably aren't leaking these on purpose since most of those links didn't work.
