Wow, it looks like someone just decided to try and crush Unleashed and the Advance games together...with less-than-perfect results.

& yet it'll probably be remembered as the definite version.

A cell phone game that sucks?

Were people really expecting anything else?

I love how you can only see about two feet in front of Sonic's face.

I wonder if 2D makes the werehog portions any better.

The more I hear that world song the more generic it becomes.

I have a Transformers (G1) game on my cell phone that plays kind of like Advance Wars...but with giant metal robots. It's actually not half bad.

this game reminds me of the fanmade sonic 2006 2d game someone "tried" to make.

But 2D is automatically better, even when you use the 3D gameplay that does not work in 2D, despite a 2D formula already existing that works fine.

The DLC pack for Empire City and Adabat is now out for Live and PSN, and according to Sega PR this is the end of the adventure packs (no revisit to Eggmanland). So except on the very off chance of them plotting some other goody for Sonic's 18th in one and a half weeks, the book is closed on Unleashed.

My boyfriend just got an Xbox, so I can actually get the decent version of this game sometime in the future.

What's the DLC like?

There is no decent version of unleashed, just a "Hey, I got a a few beers so what the hell, I am gonna play this" version...

Better off watched here. If not overpriced, then massively oversized; they're several hundred megabytes each. I think someone at Retro explained that this was because each pack contains high-res versions of a lot of level textures for some absurd reason.

Why does that matter? The lowest HDD for a 360 is 20 gbs. Just delete them after you stop caring about the game if you need space (can always get them again).

Anyway, I got this DLC and it is not very good. Over half is decent enough, but a few of them are very bad. One Adabat stage is just as bad as the normal one with frame rate (I never bothered to try the hard version of Act 1), and a werehog level in each of the levels is terrible. So really you should judge this as a 6 level normal pack with nothing stunning (although the water level in Adabat looks cool, just dull to play).

I think Flash means that you have to sit and wait a good while for it to download completely... well, at least I'd have to if I had a Xbox 360 (~2 Mbps connection :| ).

Just leave it on while you do something else, like garden composting or wanking.

360 lets you download stuff while the system is in a low-power state, then it turns off when it is done.

No, it's the space. I hope I don't need to explain the awkwardness of having people redownload on-the-disc level textures with the package (whether there's a good reason or not). Regardless of whether or not you call it a "problem" or that it can be redownloaded free (can it?), half a gig for the Chun-nan pack, for one, is kind of a lot to ask for a hard mode upgrade and 5 other levels that aren't that long.

Playing Sonic Unleashed is like sitting on the veranda of a picturesque Mediterranean cafe with a view of the ocean. While being kicked repeatedly in the nuts by a surly, smelly old fat woman with a hairy mole the size of Peoria on her chin.

Wearing track spikes.

The Sonic Unleashed Mobile game is out. The day stages are a toned down Sonic Rush, and the night stages are a toned down and gliched out Ristar clone. I've yet to find a video of someone finishing a level.
