A game doesn't have to be perfect, just playable and fun...

And Portal is like that...

Why would they build yet another game with the werehog, which everyone hated? WHY? (rhetorical).

For the same reason they still use Shadow after that awful game...

Sega only listens to the wrong fans...

I never hated the Werehog, but I would not demand to see it again. There are better alternatives.

So I gave in and imported Unleashed for 360 for ten pounds.
I didn't really have high expectations, but after playing up to after Holoska Act 1, I must say this game is pretty shit. Both the day- and night-time stages! I heard the Act 2 and 3s will have more platforming though, so I'll still want to see those.

About the only thing I ___liked so far is that they use Robotnik's theme from Sonic 06, __pleasant memories.

Considering how you use spoiler tags for no reason, I think this game suits you really fine.

I'm trying to double-reverse troll. First make people believe I like Sonic 06, then make them think under the spoiler tags there's something hidden that disproves that assumption, and once they hover over them they discover that I actually do mean what I said.

Well anyway, Spagonia at night was actually quite charming even if it took more than 20 minutes. I'm still not sure if this Prince of Persia/God of War gameplay is suited for a Sonic game though. Also normal Sonic needs to be slower.

I think everyone established Sonic is too fast and Werehog is not Sonic gameplay last year.

Better not invest much EXP into his Speed then, although, i'm guessing if you don't then some of the harder time attack missions (that's assuming you have the patience to reach them) will be either grueling or nigh-impossible. So in other words, forgoing skill in favor of artificial improvement, or better yet treating progression an action game -exactly- like progression in typical RPGs. Yay! Did I mention the EXP system is the biggest crock of shit in the game?

Thankfully someone advised me to invest all my EXP into the Werehog's strength and combo stats prior to me getting the game, and I've been doing pretty well with that. Although the combat is still quite annoying, but I guess it would be worse if I didn't follow that advise.

On this note, Spagonia at night was actually a rather charming stage (f yet >20 minutes is definitely far too much).

Ugh... Is there anyone who liked the level-up system? My impression is that it overly complicates what was already fairly complicated gameplay.

Having only played the Wii version, I would definitely liked some more complexity to my game.

BUT WHAT YOU'VE FAILED TO REALIZE IS THAT YOU'VE ACTIVATED MY DOUBLE REVERSE TROLL REVERSAL CARD

Hey! It looks like Sega released their sales for FY2009!

Mario & Sonic at the Olynmpic Games (US/Euro) - 4.21 millions
Iron Man (US/Euro) - 2.68 millions
Sonic Unleashed (Japan/US/Euro) - 2.45 millions
The Incredible Hulk (US/Euro) - 1.48 million
Empire: Total War (US/Euro) - 810,000
Phantasy Star Portable (Japan) - 640,000
RyuGa Gotoku 3 (Japan) - 500,000

http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm

I assume that the Wii version of the bolded sold the most of that lot.

That would be the financial year April 1st 2008 to March 31st 2009, I believe.

I thought Mario and Sonic sold much more than that, then?

Does this site even have a source?

I'm assuming Sega themselves. Also, remember that M&S figure doesn't include the 2008FY sales.

I forgot it came out in 2007, so nevermind.

The game is just so interesting I cannot remember when it came out. Truely amazing software.

That "customization" thing has only work well in "Sonic and the secret rings" and in "Sonic Chronicles"...

It's amazing how they didn't have to change anything for this iPort.
