Tikal and Chaos were vs. mode characters in SA2.

Marine, I guess could go either way. But i'll be suprised if they do another Sonic Riders and the Werehog isn't a hidden character.

The werehog was very hated in the reviews, though, and they pay attention to that (which is not a good thing, these people are retarded too). I really cannot see the Werehog being the huge hit with children that they had planned it to be.

I would class it with race car Sonic from Secret Rings. I could only see it coming again if they have stuff already in development with it (like they did with Silver in all the spin-offs for awhile).

So is Shadow and a substantial % of the supporting cast.

Where was it that there was an interview with the director or something, and he said that when he was shown the first concept for the werehog he was like "Wow! The fans are gonna hate that!"? Was it here that I saw it? Probably.
Yeah, not sure where I'm going with that but it seemed relevant given Kogen's last comment. We hate them. All the fans hate them. The devs know we hate them. They just don't care though because they're convinced they're making great, forward-thinking, ground-breaking advancements in games as an artform or something. Shit.

Haha, what? Sure, it's obvious that more thought was put into Unleashed then most recent Sonic games, but to me it just seems like they want to get that shit out there asap and make money without worrying about much else.

Unless you meant that sarcastically, in which case you can just ignore my post.

Notice how Shadow and a substantial part of the supporting cast were not in Unleashed? They went back to the 1993 cast (then dumped a bucket of faggotry on it).

They don't care about dedicated fans, though. They only care about 6-year olds who don't know better - just like shitty licensed cartoon and movie games. And to a six-year old, Shadow probably seems totally fucking awesome. Because grownups use guns and swear and kill stuff!

I'd like to think that most fans of Shadow (guns + cursing = cool) and the new, mediocre on their best day Sonic games are six-year olds...

Isn't it more likely that they're 9 to 13 or so?

Also, Sonic Unleashed 2 and werehog return possibly confirmed in confusing Tetsu Katano quote. [via tssz|news]

So basically, "We know you hated him, we're bringing him back." Not so much confusing as just utterly spiteful.

Perhaps (perhaps) they'll listen to intelligent fan reaction this time and can the werehog.

Your laughter of disbelief is piercing me, to the bone... Don't you believe that Sonic still has that magical appeal?!? We can't lose hope, we just can't, we can't... Aw, screw it.

Well, that fit of blissful delusion went by fast.

(Goes onto Wikipedia to search for something else to obsess over)

Try something Valve makes. Works pretty well for me. Unlike Sega, they actually listen to their customers and boy, do they deliver.

Except Valve is really slow and it takes them two years to make 1/3rd of a game.

Also he said if they make a sequel, which they probably will not.

Better one good game every three years than two bad ones every year.

1/3 = 2 years; 1 = 6.

Average male lifespan in non-shitehole = 79. 79 - 20 = 59. 59/6 = 9.83 games!

Not bad, I guess.

Or they could just get someone who knows what they are doing.

Nah, any company that makes you grind for achievements to level up your character in an FPS doesn't really know what it's doing.

What an awesome and convincing reason not to play any Valve games.

I didn't say they weren't good or that you shouldn't play them, just that they're not perfect.

Incidentally, I didn't say they were perfect either. Just that if you're trying to find another developer to follow, they're not a bad choice... provided you don't mind waiting. A lot.
