This is the whole series, right? Or is it just the first season?

Just the first third. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was one 65-episode package when it was on TV in 1993.

I feel like Adventures gets a bad rap. I spent a lot of enjoyable time watching it in syndication. I was pretty young at the time, so the comedy and simple plots were a perfect fit for me.

I may have to pick up the box set for nostalgia's sake.

I think it's the most well-regarded Sonic cartoon, at least in general, in that there's few people who actively hate it. SatAM gets equal parts "IT'S THE GREATEST!" and "IT'S ALL SHIT!" from the general community, Sonic X is almost as polarizing (but both sides are less vocal), and Sonic Underground is more ignored than hated.

I think it's just hard to hate something that's so charmingly stupid.

It was a long shot, but I was hoping that the poem from the commercials was in. It was probably just made for the local syndication anyway.

Walmart must've been under pressure from parent action groups and Christian activists. I'm sure it has something to do with the episode where Scratch and Grounder convince Tails to do coke and reject God, which results in Tails becoming rich and famous.

Presumably, the episode sends the wrong message since Tails doesn't suffer any consequences from his coked-up, secular lifestyle, nor is he punished for his womanizing.

AoStH was the first Sonic Cartoon I have seen. I found some scenes hilarious at the time. I might get this for a few good laughs.

I wonder what was the 'Sonic Says' segment on that one? ;)

I bet I'm already infamous for my bad memory here, but isn't Tails just too small in comparison to Sonic in that cover?

I don't think they're on the same plane. Tails is probably somewhere in limbo between Sonic and Grounder.
