Not satisfied with just subjugating the neighboring countries, Pachacamac wanted to expand his sphere of influence and went in search of the seven emeralds which were said to grant any wish. But at the altar of the seven emeralds are Chao and the guardian spirit (that people call the 'spirit of water') which makes it difficult to obtain the emeralds by force. The spirit of water is actually Chao's transformation.

I guess that explains why the Light Chaos Chao looks so similiar...

I had a feeling that they were whoring out all the Sonic Adventure characters, so I'm surprised I didn't catch the possibility of Tikal sooner.
(I really hope this doesn't mean we'll be getting four months of E-Series robots...)

Sonic loses his shoes when he goes Darkspines in Secret Rings, and you can see that he too, has no toes.
This toelessness has got to stop.

hey this is preferable to whenever archie comics shows sonic with his shoes toes sticking up on some table complete with gunky nails. I think it's better to keep them toeless. It brings to light what they really are: colorful video game characters as opposed to anatomically correct fur fags.
