New Shadow interviews and OST releases
:FJ: Japanese websites interview Iizuka • Sega Direct to release 2 Shadow CDs

Sega Japan used the festive period to promote Shaodw the Hedgehog by publishing two interviews and announcing the release of the official sound track.

Both Sega Voice and the Sonic Channel Staff Column conducted interviews with Takashi Iizuka. In the Sega Voice interview, Iizuka reveals that the design of Shadow was influenced by the anti-heroes that appear in American comic books, such as Spawn. Shadow was predominantly designed to appeal to Americans and research has shown that the character is popular with to 8-to-20 year-olds, which represents a large segment of the US market.

The Sonic Channel Staff Column interview mostly consists of responses that have appeared in the Western press. However, the site sports a selection of odd and interesting Christmas-themed Sonic pictures.

Sega Direct announced that two versions of the official sound track for Shadow the Hedgehog will be released in Japan on February 22. The first contains extended versions of the game music. The second is titled Lost and Found and features seven special edition remixes.

I thought I smelled the rancid stench of Spawn/Cable/Wolverine on Shadow. He reeks of it.

It's best not to try to make any sense of Nova's posts. You'll risk the loss of brain cells.

From what I heard, they had no plans of ever releasing the OST outside of Japan and don't ship outside of Japan from the Sega Direct site either.

I find it amusing they still pull this sort of shit even with merchandise related to the games that bomb like hell in Japan, but I guess this is the way things will always be with some stuff.

Translation: "Do you really want the 4kids version of the OST, with their evil placement of english lyrics into awesome japanese songs?"

Response: Heaven forbid the japanese using english lyrics.

RARR CAPS LOCK SMASH

Wouldn't smashing the caps lock turn it off?

Not if you smashed it to turn it on, then typed the message. Besides, it was Caps Lock that was doing the smashing in the first place, stoopeed.

Kind of like RARR HULK SMASH.

But when the Hulk smashes stuff, he shouts out HULK SMASH, then smashes something. So unless you're not making a reference to the Hulk, i cannot accept that you did an authentic CAPS LOCK SMASH.

Maybe the caps lock was on, then he smashed it to turn it off?

I TYPE LIKE THIS TO EMPHASIZE POINTS THAT ARE SORT OF STUPID AND MATTER TO ME because typing like this is ineffective if I'm trying to make a joke.

Example:

OMG DON'T INSULT BLINK 182 THEY ARE THE GREATEST PUNK BAND EVER AND THEY EVEN ARE BETTER THAN GREEN DAY YOU'RE STUPID OH MY GOD

---

Oh my God, don't insult Blink 182! They are the greatest punk band ever, and they are even better than Green Day! You're stupid, oh my God.

Also, he used the word 'cocknugget'!

Cocknugget, cock jockey, cock juggler... many of the insults I use will inevitably use the word 'cock' as a prefix, whether it should be or not.
