I did a translation of the blurb about the new vehicles from the official PSU site this morning and submitted it to PSOWorld. I'll copy-paste it here.

---

You will discover a large variety of vehicles throughout your adventure. By using the "Flowder," you'll be able to move across the surface of water that you previously had no way to cross! On Moatoob, there's a native creature called a "Lunga" which will allow you to ride upon its back as it runs! Moving quickly about the field, the Lunga can destroy obstacles and attack enemies that are in your way with fire.

---

Looking over this scan, I was hoping to extract some more info on the SEED Vance, but there isn't much. It more or less says the Vance uses its arm-like extensions to attack, and the purpose of the horns on it "head" is currently being investigated.

Speaking of PSU, The Magic Box has claimed (without citing any source) that PS2 and PC players will share the same servers.

Why are they releasing an MMO that makes most of its money on monthly fees on a console that is gonna be more or less useless in a year?

Because it's the most popular console in Japan.

That doesn't change the fact that it won't be in a year.

More like the most popular console worldwide.

The PS1 were still popular enough for games to still sell on the console even when the PS2 debuted. People were alos purchasing PS1 games thanks to the BC compatiblity of the PS2. I assume the same outcome will happen with the PS2 especially if the PS3 price would really be high as expected.

So then Lightspeed, what do you suggest they do instead?

Release it on a next gen console, or at least port it afterwards.

Isn't that what they are planning anyway(concerning a port)?

Still, I think it would be a big waste of time and money to suddenly scrap their original plan of releasing it on the PS2 especially late in this game development.

Well yeah, now it would, but I remember thinking the exact same thing over a year ago when we first heard about it.
