Sonic the Dancers
:FJ: More costumed promotional hijinks

Not to be out done by Shadow’s recent fighting demonstration, Sonic made a guest appearance at the Roppongi Verufare Disco, which was held in Tokyo on November 19th.

Visitors gave Sonic a rapturous applause even though he was only present for a mere 10 minutes.

It looks like Sonic took a step into the '80s.

I was going to say how strange it is to see Sonic on stage breaking it down old-school, but then I notice the giant condoms in the back and suddenly everything is placed into perspective.

They must work like speed shoes, only not for your feet.

Is the little flaming twink in the babydoll t and the headband supposed to be the human version of Charmy?

I feel bad for people who make their living by appearing in public wearing cartoon/video game character costumes. Even more so if they have to dance.

It's not that bad, as long as they're wearing masks.

That reminds me, did anyone get to go to that Video Games Live concert? I wanted to go to it in Boston, but they kept shifting the date and now it looks like I'll have to wait till 2006.

I had two tickets for the FRONT ROW here in Austin TX's Bass Concert Hall this Thursday night. And they cancelled all their shows, so I had to get a refund instead of getting to see it.

Assholes.

They still have to live with the shame. And probably the fact that their family members know what they do and wanted them to become a lawyer or a doctor and now they're a huge disappointment.

Now the real fun comes in finding someone who can attest to that.

I remember when I went to Segaworld and met a guy in Sonic costume, I also met him just before he went on a break took of the head.
Man, that was like finding out Santa isn't real, it's not what you want to find out at the age of 8.

I did and it was great. Except for the two-bit teen nerd sitting by my side that kept singing the songs outloud in the Sonic bit. I mean, c'mon, there were 200 paid professionals doing that in the stage.

But it was actually pretty funny seeing some people that went dressed up as fags -I mean- Final Fantasy characters.

Plus there was that Video Game Pianist guy. He played blindfolded and stuff. I got to talk to him and get an autograph by the end of the show. Apparently his first name is Video, and his family name is Game Pianist.

"It's a boy, Mrs. Game Pianist, it's a boy..."

Two years later and the bastards still refuse to come anywhere near New England.
