Amy gets her own Game
:FJ: New Sonic Café title

This month’s Sonic Café release takes a break from milking Sonic and instead focuses on Amy with the bizarrely titled Amy’s American Page One. Despite the strange name, the title is a simple card game. Being something of a secret suffragette, Amy has invited fellow females Cream, Rouge and Hero Chao to prove their card playing skills.

^ A card game may be the mobile equivalent of giving Amy a gun, but at least we can pretend it is a nod to her tarot reading abilities.

More details can be found at the Sonic Café website.

Sonic Channel Updates

:FJ: A number of updated have been made to Sonic Channel, including a Knuckles character profile and wallpaper download, a new fan art section and an Eggman shockwave game.

Roger Hector Interview
Interview with former STI boss

HXC, a member of the ever resourceful Simon Wai’s Sonic 2 Beta community, recently managed to secure an interview with Roger Hector. Hector was director at STI from 1993 to 1996 and worked on a number of Sonic games, including Sonic 2 and 3 and Sonic Spinball.

Part 1 of the interview, which can be found here, reveals a number of interesting development secrets, including Michael Jackson’s planned involvement with the Sonic 3 soundtrack and the specifics of Naka’s and Yasuhara’s roles in the production process of the Sonic games.

HXC will be posting the second instalment soon and is asking for suggestions for questions.

*Is disappointed that it is only a mobile card game--then quickly remembers current Sonic Team's questionable quality of games anyway and shrugs it off*

Michael Jackson and Sonic 3, eh? I wonder how would the Sonic 3 soundtrack sound like if Michael Jackson actually able to compose all of it?

Ideally, it would have been a Sega CD game, so we could get a vocal song in there.

Hm, interesting.

Boss 1's a good indicator.

And now, I leave you with your Moment Of Zen:

Since when is hero chao a girl?

Heh, good question.

Couldn't it be either, technically? I don't recall any visual cues distinguishing frank from bun bearing Chao, or any suggestion that there exists a difference except that two of them are required for reproduction.

Though if that is a male Chao, it's a pretty gay-ass pose he's in.

Hahah, the Chaos are ass pirates.
And yet, somehow, I am unsurprised.

On the SA1 VMU, you could decide whether it was male or female.

I don't remember that. I thought it was only your own gender that you could set in your profile?

Oh. That must be what I'm thinking of.

Why not just use Blaze? Or even Vanilla?

So, did you decide that you were male or female?

It’s a fuck that you need to answer questions to sign up to the Sonic 2 beta page.

I really wanted to ask Roger Hector if there was any truth behind the S3&K Nike sponsor, and how it effected Knuckles character?

Anybody care to ask it for me?

You mean, you have to answer questions to enter the forum? So, are these questions Sonic related or something completly different?

EDIT: Here they are, I don't know the answers to most of them though since the whole "Sonic Hacking" thing never interested me.

I had this same problem when they were doing their "badnik sprite" competition, where we invited to follow bunch of ridiculous requirements that seemed intentionally designed to prevent people outside their community from involving themselves in it, in addition to answering their hacking trivia questions just to be able to post and ask questions.

It seems like your community doesn't desire things like "publicity" or "new members".

A card game is ok, every famous **** has its own card game. A card game is not a big deal, nothing to worry about. Is not like turning metal Sonic into a freaking slow dragon or giving shadow a gun...

You're really distraught over the whole Metal Overlord thing, aren't you?
