I do remember always having some confusion about the Quartz Quadrant music, though. It might just be because the Present music sounds almost nothing like either of the Future mixes.

The shooba-doop-doop one is Wacky Workbench. Quartz Quadrant has the guitars and the "Bad!" voice sample. For me the confusion with QQ is the fact that both the good and bad futures sound nearly identical.

Ok, ok, I admit it's a strange system. We used to have it organized so that graphics, gameplay, control, sound, innovation, and replayability were all worth a certain amount of points. With a collection, I didn't think I could use that system fairly. It's the same as every other site - I could have said 6.7 / 10.

The progression is the same, but the tone and instruments sound nothing alike.

No see the joke is that nobody (but a select few) here believe that any rating system has any merit. To prove the point they ask what the difference between four-tenths of a point in your system is? See? Isn't it hilarious?

What's being played in WW present has that same cracking drum beat solo that's in QQ's future's. I think they messed up. Heck even the vocals are similar in all three too.

From the review:
Gamerguy wrote:I think that Sega's effort in making this collection was a lot better than with Mega Collection. If they had taken the time to include SegaSonic and Chaotix, or even one of them, I would easily be able to recommend this game to anyone. In its realistic state, however, I can't.
No, they have to set that aside for the Sonic Absurd Collection. It'll also have the world from Sonic Jam, a new selection of some other random Sonic Game Gear games, and some irrelavent Mega Drive games. Even with everything it promises it'll still leave something to be desired and/or left behind.

Don't forget, in the next gen we can start having collections that include the Dreamcast games. And in the gen after that, we can have collections that include the Sonic Advance series!

We could even collect the collections into some kind of super collection...which could then be collected with other super collections to make hyper collections...which could be collected with other hyper collections...

Why do people even romanticise about making collections, when they already own the original games anyway?

You're all on crack...

"GameSpy: What about Knuckles Chaotix (32X) or Segasonic the Hedgehog(arcade)? Will we ever see these games in a compilation?

Ogawa: There is possibility, but I think the first issue will be whether gamers will accept Sonic Gems Collection. If Gems becomes popular among consumers and they are eager for more, it may well be that we include these games."

Why not just have, like, a questionnaire on their site instead of making us buy two or more collections before they can understand what games we want?

Oh right, yeah...corporations.

I'm just looking forward to Sonic Hyper Platinum Collection, where you can play long-sought-after Tails Music Maker with 50 newly-added missions and enhanced graphics! Also, 3 Game Gear games are drawn randomly from hats for every copy of the game, so no two copies are the same! Link up via Gameboy SP and trade them with your friends! UNLOCK SPACE HARRIER II AND ALEX KIDD IN MIRACLE WORLD FOR NO REASON AT ALL!

I just made myself sad. :(

Was Miracle World the one with the Rock, Paper, Scissors battles? More games need Rock, Paper, Scissors battles.
